The drivers might not be installed correctly you might have to uninstall the graphics card restart your computer then reinstall the graphics card and its drivers Make sure there is no dust in the socket you might have to physically remove your card to restart your computer this will activate found new hardware wizard Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red X right click select reinstall drivers If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it if you dont have a motherboard disk you will need to download the drivers http://download.cnet.com/2000-20_4.html on the home page you should see a search tab just type in what you are looking for tick in either windows software or all software box IE: Motherboard name vga drivers you might have to try a few times to get it right. or Rather doing a driver hunt which can take hours http://download.cnet.com/slimdrivers-free/3000-18513_4-75279940.html Windows XP/Vista/7/8
it might take some time being a freeware driver solution Note: it will find all of your outdated drivers
This will automatically search for and find the correct driver you will have to update every driver individually once you update you might be asked whether you want to restart or make a system restore point.

Click no to both of these then continue updating each driver free then restart once all of the drivers have been updated.

My VGA has been corrupted. How can I fix it?

Hi , I suggest to check for any thermal issues including condition of the video card fan / heat sinks ie dust ,
If supported you can run a LINUX disk like Ubuntu in live / try mode
If video works ok , then most likely a Windows environment incl hardware conflict or virus / driver corruption issue ,
but if not then most likely a video card hardware issue like bad card cooling fan or excessive dust - thermal shedding issue or card bios/chipset fault

If a likely software issue then uninstall and then reinstall the video card
Consult ASUS or Nvidia support

The procedure is something like this
Onboard video support ?
yes
uninstall the video card driver and any video vendor configuration applets
Uninstall video card in device manager if still present.
Shut down and remove mains power cable
remove the hardware video card ,
(using anti static electricity procedures)
Attach onboard video to display
Power up and enter and configure BIOS setup if required, ie 1st seek onboard video
Bootup to Windows
Install the onboard video device
using Windows plug&play default driver executed during booting
Restart
Confirm working ok
Update the chipset driver (inf) if applicable,
restart
Shutdown
Reinstall the hardware video card
Attach to display
Reconfig BIOS setup if required
Start to install default driver
Install video driver / update from card default using a known good driver whose setup file has been previously downloaded
restart and test

Hope this helps

After installing new ATI HD4670 video card I boot system hear no beeps computer powers on but screen is black

Hello,
I assume you have the driver for the new video card if not you can download it from ATI website.
Try booting the computer in the safe mode and remove the driver of the old card, restart the computer and install the driver for your new video card.
You can also put the old video card back and remove its driver then install the new video card and driver.
Best of luck to you.

This might indicate a hardware problem with the video adapter, or a faulty video driver.

Try reinstalling the video card drivers by doing the following:

1. Download Driver Cleaner Pro or Driver Sweeper (both have free versions; make sure the version will work with your OS) to your desktop screen and install.

2. Download the latest diver(s) for your video card but don't install them.

3. Uninstall your video card drivers and reboot your PC into Safe Mode. Run Driver Cleaner Pro or Driver Sweeper but ONLY for the video card drivers. I had someone use it on their chipset drivers! If it doesn't find any video card drivers that is quite okay.

4. Reboot and install new video card drivers.

We are trying to load modern warfare 2 and I am getting a message Error during initialization: Video card or driver doesn't support UBYTE4N vertex data. What are some options?

1. Look online for the newest device-driver for your video-card.

2. Purchase a new "high-end" video-card, remove the old video-card, install the new video-card, and load the device-drivers from the CD-ROM that came with the new video-card.

3. Don't try to load the "Modern Warfare 2" software.

The video its wrong

If you cannot change the video settings ie. the screen resolution and the number of colors, then most likely problem is the video driver was not installed or the wrong video driver was installed.
If you have lost the driver CD for the video card then :-
Have a look at the video card, you need its make and model to download the XP or Vista video driver from the video card manufacturer's WEB site, and then install this video driver.

Geforce 2 MX-400 (64 bit) with vista

Before you installed the Geforce graphics card was your monitor connected to a video output on the motherboard?
If this is he case you may have to disable the onboard video card from the BIOS.
You can check by swapping the monitor's video connector between each of the video outputs.
If Vista detects a video card and you had not installed the video driver, it would install standard VGA driver, you can then install the Geforce driver.

Thanks. Driver Provider is Intel Coporation, that means the manufacturer's driver for your video card isn't installed yet. Here's what you can do. If your video card is built-in, you need to run the setup CD for your motherboard and install the Video Driver. Alternate solution is click on Update Driver let is search the net for the udpated driver.

Are you using built-in Video Card or a separate Video Card? What is the brand of your computer?
