I have a Califone 1410 K and would like to hook it up to my stereo receiver. Can anyone tell me if this will work and, if so, what kind of cord I need for the external speaker jack? Thanks so much!

A big plug jack would work, like the kind used for guitars to amplifiers. I have one a friend of mine made for me (he works in a music shop) and it goes in the "external speaker" hole to the amp pretty simple.

How to hook up stereo audio receiver VSX - D704S to my laptop

You need an 1/8" stereo jack to rca cord. Plug into headphone out on PC then into back of receiver (I.e. aux/cd). Then turn stereo to that input.

The fm part of my car radio does not work, can someone tell me what the problem would be for this

This kind of description defies any sense of the complexity of these devices. It can be anything from a bad solder joint to a defective IC to an antenna connection. I have worked on all kinds of Radios and it is hard to tell what is wrong without looking at the device. I doubt anyone in the world can come up with a one line answer.

There is a mute switch on the headphone jack, inside the unit. If you feel competent, open it up and replace the jack.

I have my network blu ray disc home theater system hook up correctly. I have sound with I have pandora or disc playing. when I turn on just television, I cannot get sound from my television to my stereo.

What kind of ports and cables are you using?
Is there an option on your TV to output sound?
*I have a samsung HDTV and for me to hook up a surround sound i have to go into my TV options and go to audio and select "Output : TV
: Aux speaker system"

Are you sure your cord is working properly? The easiest way to bundle it all together is an HDMI cable.

Stereo hook up plug black and red wire has power via circuit test. When plugged into stereo the stereo will not power on. If I touch one of the speaker wires to the red wire it turns on. Anyone able to...

you also need to check for power at the yellow wire it should be +12 v unswitched which means power all the time wether key is on or off the red is +12 v switched and black is -12 v

Califone 1420 k "Wobbling sound"

If you take the platter off you may find a rubber "idler wheel" that rides on the inside rim of the platter. It may be worn or glazed over and hardened. Might try cleaning with denatured alcohol. If that doesnt work you may need a new idler wheel. West Tech Services is a place that comes to mind that may carry what you need.

I have a SA-203 receiver. I am trying to hook it up to my computer to record my LPs. I have run a stereo cord from the headphone jack to my "line in" on the PC. When I play anything (stereo,...

I did hook up my PC to my SA-203 successfully. I noticed the amplification was weakest when I hooked up through the "phono" connection but in all cases both speakers worked. Be certain you have plugged in the cables completely and the contact points are clean. If you open your Technics SA-203 you will see it is apparently not very complicated so if the connections are the problem you can probably even fix it yourself. Go to Radio Shack online as it is unlikely the sales help knows s**t about there electronics part bins and probably neither will the manager. But once again, I really believe you just need to fiddle with the plug at the "phones" connection on your receiver. Good Luck and sorry I took so long.
