I just got a new panasonic TV. I have it hooked up to the cable box/DVR with and HDMI cable on HDMI 1 imput. after 10 min it tells me it is switching and it goes to ''Game'' imput WHY???

Use HDMI wire if you have that option than simply tune TV to HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 etc depending which one you connect it to .

I would suggest you verify your cabling. Are you using HDMI cables? Connect a HDMI cable from the TV HDMI 1 to the Cable DVR Box, In the TV setup ,select HDMI 1 as source. If your Cable box does not have HDMI contact the provider for a updated box. With out the Make, Model of Box, Cable? Sat? Make, Model of TV. I don't know the connections?
You might have to manually turn the input on in the user menu. If you find that there is no option for this, then you will need to replace your main board.
Make sure none of the Digital or Component Input Assignments are programmed, if you're not using them. Set them to "----". This may help. Some of the Component input assignments may over-ride your other input assignments (perhaps even the HDMI input assignments).
