As per its user manual (p 2-1)
it only supports WPA, not WPA2

So either reduce the wireless network security to WPA/PSK, or get another adapter that supports WPA2

Or, If it's a version 2 in hardware, you could download the latest driver V2 that added the WPA2 support

Good luck

If you are using a WPA2 network, it sometimes won't log on. Is your problem with your home network? It has happened to me a few times and I read online that it is a common problem. I just reset my router and it connects right away.

Zyxel 660hn to xp on a compaq 6710b won't accept 13character WPA2 key on sticker on modem

Try resetting the router/modem to factory settings. It is possible the saved WPA2 key is different then the default key so it is stopping you from adding the WPA2 key on the device.

Good luck!

I just used recovery disk to restore back to factory setting for acer aspire 7741Z. Now it won't recognize my wireless router

To connectyour computer to a wireless router, you click the Refresh networklist, then Choose your wireless network and then click Connectto your secured Wireless Network, it will asks for a Network Keybefore allowing you to connect into your wireless network. This NetworkKey is either the WEP, or WPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is used toconfigure the Wireless Router. The Passphrase is an alternate way tosetup the Encryption key.
When you are requested for a Network Key, you can just enter the Passphrasethat was used to configure the Encryption key in the wireless router.http://www.fixya.com/support/r5270415-network_password_network_addressFor information on securing your wireless network, configuring the wireless router and configuring the wireless card in thelaptop/computer, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

Some wireless adaptors may encounter the compatibility problem with some routers when adaptor's driver is out dated. I have a Toshiba laptop that had the same problem. After I installed the latest driver, the problem resolved. You may need to contact manufacturer of the computer to get the updated driver. If you cannot get a driver updated, you can also try to lower the security to WEP.

You should first check if in your Device Manager your Network Card is being recognized, and make sure there is no errors (a yellow triangle would be displayed). If it is there, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers.
You can also go into your BIOS setup when starting up the computer, and make sure it's enabled. If none of this works, to get your WIFI Fob working, you probably need to disable your Network Card first in the BIOS before your Fob will work.
Hope this helps.

Hello.

Test your laptop at a different location to see if any difference.

If still the network adapter, first try to update the driver by going to Device Manager, find the network adapter and select update. You'll actually be reinstalling the current driver software.

If still a problem, the network adapter would need to be physically removed and replaced.

Hope this helps.

Ran the set up wizard for D link 200N wireless router completed successfully but afterwards my computer didn't recognize the network. I plugged the old Linksys B router back in and it worked fine.

Theencryption key secures your data from unauthorized access. The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, configure the router'swireless settings ie SSID, plus the WPAor WPA2 encryption key and then configure wireless cards in the laptops and orcomputers with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktopcomputers can communicate with your wireless router.

Cannot setup WPA2 on WUSB54G & WPC11 adaptors

This is because those wireless adapters that you mentioned do not support for WPA2. Linksys will not release drivers for those adapters that will make it work with WPA2 because they are already discontinued. So the only other option is to stick with WPA or WEP
