The phone speaker/new light keeps blinking even after I have deleted all the incoming calls. There is a msg blinking on the screen and I have no idea how to get to it or shut it down.

How old is this phone? It might need new batteries, either that or you might be moving too far away from the base. Another option is that someone in your immediate area has a similar phone on the same frequency which could be causing interference. Hope this helps.
