Use the setting thick 3 its the catch all for weird issues. make sure the paper is not coated also. if that still does not work you can go into service mode and bump up the fuser temp , its the number 1 button(machine).

Hi toner doesn't fuss on the paper. what could be the problem or settings can anyone here help. its konica minolta C6000

Is the fuser running hot at all? It should throw a C-Code

Or is your paper type settings correct? Are you running Thick Card stock on plain paper? If you do the fuser is not keeping up with heating up the temperature required to melt the toner to the paper.

Why does my Konica Minolta 1690MF have a fuser jam error whenever I print in color?

Everything you checked sound good. Might be printer software problem, and needs to be re-flashed. Software only available from secure web site that a technician would have, see what it cost if to much buy a new one with extra bells and whistles !

Well, I think that is over spec for your machine. Are you using a coated stock? What type, gloss, silk, matte? Is your paper cut 18 x 12?

I'm printing on 110 lb card stock and the toner gets crispy..and actually flakes off on the edges and sometimes leaves smears and clumps of black or burnt toner on the paper. It prints fine on 20 lb paper...

could be the fuser but there is a setting for heavy paper or card stock which will slow it down and increase the heat. depends on your model as to where this can be changed.

Printing on Card Stock

Hi Harold,

Most laser printers automatically adjust not the temperature so much as the speed at which the media travels through the fuser when thicker stock is used.

The important thing here is to make sure that when you are using card stock that you insure that the printer is set for the correct "PAPER TYPE" from the tray you are using.

When the paper type is set to card stock, you should notice that the media will print somewhat slower, thus giving the fuser the ability to achieve the correct fusing temperature through the thicker stock.

Good luck

That stock might be too heavy for a bizhub.

Specifications state the following:

Plain paper (16 lb to 24 lb),
thick paper 1 (24-1/4 lb to 40 lb),
thick paper 2 (40-1/4lb to 55-1/2 lb),
thick paper 3 (55-3/4 lb to 68 lb),
thick paper 4 (68-1/4 lb to 72 lb)*, OHP transparencies*, postcards*, letterheads,
colored paper, envelopes*, label sheets*, banner paper (24-1/4 lb to 55-1/2 lb)*
Duplex: Plain paper (17 lb to 24 lb), thick paper1/2/3 (24 lb to 68 lb
*Can only be fed through the bypass tray.

These specs are directly from the user guide.

Is the paper running through the bypass tray?

Printing avery labels

You need to change the paper settings from plain to something thicker. The toner is not being heated properly for it to fuse to your paper. It needs to run at the correct speed and temperature in order to adhere properly.
Set it to a heavier stock.
