Question about Canon PIXMA iP3500 Printer

Open Question

Cyan colour prints fine then stops

When printing a multicolour page, any blue prints perfectly for a couple of centimetres, then rapidly peters out. That's it for cyan until the next day, when it will print similarly. All other colours/black are fine. Canon nozzle deep clean temporarily clears it. The actual image when it starts is perfect, it just seems to run out of cyan ink. New Canon cyan cartridge is in use - I replaced this at first but made no difference. Nozzle head test page shows no bad spots. Is there a blockage between the tank and the actual heads? Can I obtain a new head assembly in the UK if all else fails?

SOURCE: Printing colour is wrong, colours come out pink.

> replaced the print head

Did you replace the tri-colour ink-cartridge, or did you replace the print-head mechanism?

Are you sure that the CYAN part of the ink-cartridge is not empty?

Lines in the print

Nozzle check perfect? No ink drop outside lines? Cyan lines is random position. Print blank pages. It is still appear cyan lines? If yes, it caused by waste ink at bottom plate. Print blank pages more, it will clean itself.

My hp deskjet 1280 will not print yellow

Hello, this is Harry from www.BusinessSpread.co.uk.
We had the exact same problem when printing, we used 3 different 78 colour ink cartages and they all said 100% full but did not work. We then had a look at the dates on the box and they were all expired so when buying ink from anywhere even PC world or Curry’s always look at the expiry date.
Today I went to PC world and purchased a new 78 ink which said expires July 2011 and it works perfectly fine.

Installed a new cyan cartridge, but the blues show up as pink..

I can assure you that you got a bad colour ink cartridge. However, you may try this: get a small ply of tissue paper and place over the printing head, with your mouth and some good measure of pressure **** it. Repeat a couple of times and all the three colours: cyan, magenta, and blue will show up; otherwise replace immediately. Good luck

Cyan toner problem

Is the section that is not printing down the r/h side of the page?
If so then it is likely that one of your toners is not "locked" in fully. Open the top panel, lift up the orange lever and pull out the PCU. You can now rotate the cartridges, check each one is fully locked in by the coloured levers on the r/h side. Even if one is slightly raised it will block the path of the laser and cause the symptoms that you describe.

Please take a moment to rate this solution. Thanks.

Do you have the operators manual? Run it through a cleaning cycle. Also Xerox's website will guide you through some maintenance steps. If you are using generic wax, you may have clogged the jets.
