After unplugging the tv the light goes red. Pressing either the remote power or tv button power the tv turns the light green (solid) and then no picture. After the light turns green none of the buttons on the remote or tv work. The picture doesn't turn grey.

Try pressing the TV/Video button. The problem could be that the TV is set to an input with no source.
SOURCE: will not turn on

In order to properly diagnose the problem and provide a solution, the following information is required:
1) Model number (on the back of the set)
2) The count of blinks of hte standby light.
The standby light should be blinking in a repeated pattern of a count followed by a short pause then the count again ...
This count is an indication of the circuit that has the fault. With that information and the model number, I can list the likely causes and fixes.
Thanks,
Dan
