Login name no longer autofills

I used to be able to start typing an e-mail address in the login name field and a list of choices would drop down. It no longer does that and I have to re-type my whole e-mail address everytime I login now. What happened and how do I get it back. I've re-booted and it didn't help. Thank you.

Hi,
1) What Operating system and browser are you using?
2) If you are using Internet Explorer 9, then:
a) click on Tools/Internet Options
b) click on Delete... and check all checkboxes
c) if that does not resolve the problem, click Tools/Internet Options
d) Advanced tab and Restore advanced settings and then Reset...
e) if that doesn't help, then try Tools/Internet Options/Content then click on Settings under AutoComplete and check the checkboxes you need.

  5. Click on ok once it is done

Don't puzzle yourself about it..I've had similar problems with sites also. It's FB's site problem. Just try logging in on and off ( during periods that u normally r not on during the day/night) ...it will eventually work

Xerox WC 3220 scan to e-mail problem with external smtp server(ISP). I am trying to configure the scanner to send mail. I follow up the instructions in the manual. When I try to test it I got smtp error ...


You can always find answers to your Xerox questions at www.xerox.com/support .

The 3220 does NOT support SSL, please verify if your email service is requiring SSL transmission. (Port 445 or 587 are indicators of SSL email requirements.) There are free email providers that will still send on port 25 without SSL. Xerox does not provide a list however so you will need to research these yourself.

Instructions for setup scan to email below:
Configure the Machine for Scan to E-mail
IMPORTANT: Obtain the following information from your e-mail service provider before configuring the machine for Scan to E-Mail.
  1. What is the host name or IP address of the SMTP server?
  2. What port number does that SMTP server require?
  3. Does the server require authentication login? If so, what format does the server expect the login? (Does the server require the full e-mail address or just the part before the @ sign?)
  4. Does the e-mail server require POP3 before SMTP authentication? If so, obtain the POP3 settings (POP3 host name or IP address, port number, and login name/password).
  5. Does the server require SSL or TLS encryption? If so, ask your e-mail provider to provide you with an e-mail server that does not use SSL or TLS encryption as the printer does not support SSL/TLS encryption for e-mail authentication.

    NOTES:
    • If you are provided with a new e-mail server to use, questions 1 - 7 will need to be answered again.
    • Xerox does not provide a list of e-mail providers that do not require SSL/TLS encryption for e-mail authentication.
    • If unable to find an e-mail service that does not require SSL or TLS encryption, See theRelated Items below for information on how to Install the Network Scan program for a Windows OS or how to Install the USB Scan Driver for a Macintosh OS. Once the scanned file is stored on your computer, it can then be e-mailed from your computer as an attached item/file in a new e-mail.
  6. What is the attachment size limit on the account on that server?
  7. What 'From' address will the printer use for Scan to E-mail? The From address should be a valid e-mail address for the e-mail server that the printer will use. Ask the e-mail provider if authentication is required if the login name (above) is allowed to be used for the From address the printer will use.

    If you do not know the answer to the questions above, contact the people that control the e-mail server you want the machine to use for Scan to E-mail. The following parties can provide you with additional assistance:
    • If the e-mail server is inside your company's network, contact the E-mail Server Administrator to obtain the required settings.
    • If the e-mail server is outside your company, contact the Technical Support for that e-mail service to obtain the required settings. This may be your Internet Service Provider (ISP), or a 3rd party E-mail Service Provider.
Configure the Machine's E-mail Settings Using CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS)
After you have obtained the above information, configure the machine's e-mail settings using CWIS.
  1. Access CWIS. See the Related Items below for additional information.
  2. Click on the [Properties] link.
  3. In the Properties section on the left side of the window, click on the [+] symbol next to theProtocols folder to expand the list of options.
  4. Click on the [SMTP Server] link.
  5. Click on the [IP Address] or [Host Name] radio button.
  6. Enter the IP address or domain (host) name of the SMTP (e-mail) server in the field provided.

    NOTE: If you use an IP address for the SMTP server, verify that the IP address for the server will not change.   11. If the E-mail server requires POP3 before SMTP authentication, continue with step 13. Otherwise skip to step 17.

  13. In the POP3 Server and Port field, enter the IP address or domain (host) name of the SMTP (e-mail) server and the port number. The default port number is 110.

    • Conformation Sheet - Available options are: On Errors Only, Always, and Off
  21. Click on the [Save Changes] button.NOTE: See the Related Items below for information on how to Scan to E-mail. When Scan to E-mail is successful, it is recommended to print a copy of the SMTP Server settings and E-mail Setup settings from CWIS for your records. If Scan to E-mail fails in the future, refer to these settings.
Configure Additional E-mail Security Settings (Optional)
For additional security when sending e-mails, the machine can be configured to require the sender to be authorized prior to using the machine's Scan to E-mail service. This is an optional security feature for Scan to E-mail and is disabled by default.
Authorized users for Scan to E-mail can be configured using CWIS. Up to 2,000 users can be registered.
  1. Access CWIS. See the Related Items below for additional information.
  2. Click on the [Properties] link.

The detailed description of Configuring Terminal Software/Assigning IP address to Tenor DX is given below.If you need only RESETTING GOTO STEP 18.

1.From your PC, click on Start> Programs> Accessories> Communications> HyperTerminal. The Connection Description is displayed.

2.Enter a connection name (i.e., name for each unit such as Tenor DX 1 and click Ok.

3.Choose the connection port on your PC from the Connect Using drop down list box (i.e., Direct to Com1). Click Ok. The Com1 Properties window will be displayed. See Figure 3.

4.From the Bits Per Second drop down list box, choose 38400.

5.From the Data Bits drop down list box, choose 8.

6.From the Parity drop down list box, choose None.

7.From the Stop bits drop down list box, choose 1.

8.From the Flow control drop down list box, choose None. Click Ok. A connection to the Tenor unit is established.

9.Click on Call>Call. A connection to the unit will be established. The login prompt appears.

10.Enter a login name. The default login name is admin.

11.Enter a password. The default password is admin. (Once you are up and running, changing the password is a good idea for security purposes). Step through each of the following parameters and enter the correct values for your installation: IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway.

12.At the Quintum prompt, type ei to reach the Ethernet prompt and then type config to change to the configuration mode.

13.To set the IP address, type set ipa followed by the IP address.

14.To set the Subnet Mask, type set subnetmask, followed by the subnet mask.

15.Type siprd to change to the Static IP Route Directory.

16.To set the Default Gateway IP, type change 1 g followed by the IP address for the default gateway IP.

17.Type submit.

18.Type maint to reach the maintenance mode and then mc. Type reset. A confirmation message will ask if you want to reset the unit. Type yes to reset the unit. The reboot enables the Tenor to incorporate the new settings.

19.Once the IP information is set, you are ready to configure the unit.

How to send mail from tally


E-mail a Invoice
To send a Invoice to a customer by email:
1. Gateway of Tally > Display > Accounts Books> Sales Register >
2. Select the required Invoice from the sales Vouchers
3. Click on Email from the button bar or press Alt+M

1. The fields on the Mailing Invoice form are automatically completed if you have given the required information during creation of the master records. Select No or press Backspace to change/modify the entries. Select Yes to accept.
2. The E-mail Server field is highlighted next. This is a mandatory field. The first time you use this feature in Tally, enter the name of your SMTP server, example: mail.btinternet.com. Subsequently, Tally will automatically display the SMTP server name. Refer to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or network administrator for further queries.
3. The From field displays the name of your company entered in the Company Creation screen and stored in the Company Information Master records. You can also modify the default information. Press Enter.
4. The From E-mail Address field displays the e-mail address entered in the Company Information Master data. Enter your email address, if you have not done so while creating a company, or if you want to change the id.
• Enter the user name and password in Authentication User Name (Only if required) and Password field respectively if the mail server requires authentication.
• In the Format field a pop-up screen lists the three formats in which you can generate your email:
o ASCII (Comma delimited)
o HTML (web-publishing)
o XML (data interchange)
Select the type that suits your recipient.
1. To E-mail Address field is a mandatory field.

It displays the recipient's email address as entered in the Mailing and Related details during ledger creation. Enter the address if you have not done so while creating the ledger or if you want to modify the information.
1. Type the email address of another recipient to whom you want to send a carbon copy of the email in the CC (if any) field.

1. The Subject field is filled by default and displays the subject of your mail. You can change it to a subject of your choice.
• Any text you enter in the Additional Text field precedes the report in the recipient's mail program. You can use this field to type a message to the recipient.
• Additional Options provided in the form are:
o Include Post-Dated Transactions?- Set this option to Yes to include post-dated transactions.

Note: Additional Options may vary depending upon the type of report you want to email.

Print Preview: Use the Print Preview screen to view the document before emailing. This shows how the document appears in the recipient's email

Xerox Workcentre 4150 having problems setting up Scan to Email


  1. Print a Configuration Report. See the Related Items below for additional information.
  2. The following fields should be set as indicated for scan to e-mail to be properly enabled and set up:
    1. Under the Installed Options section, Email field: Installed / Enabled
    2. Under SMTP Setting section, SMTP Host Name or SMTP Server IP Address field requires a valid entry.
    3. Under SMTP Setting section, Default E-mail Address field requires a valid entry.
If the WorkCentre is a network connected configuration, it will arrive with the E-mail service enabled. The copier-only model is not network connected and cannot perform Scan to E-mail.
NOTE: E-mail is enabled at factory, by default. If the E-mail button is not available on the All Services screen, enable E-mail in the Tools mode.
Before starting the setup procedure, make sure the following items are available or have been performed:
  • Make sure the WorkCentre is fully functioning on the network. See the Related Items below for additional information.
  • E-mail service must be available (enabled).

    NOTE: E-mail is available by default.

  • Make sure the TCP/IP protocol is set up and the HTTP protocol is enabled on the WorkCentre; both protocols must be fully functional.
  • Obtain the IP Address of a functional SMTP mail server that accepts inbound mail traffic. See your Network Administrator for additional assistance.
  • Make sure the DNS settings are configured correctly and obtain the Domain Name address, if applicable. See your Network Administrator for additional assistance.
  • Create an E-mail account which the WorkCentre will use as the default 'From' address.
  • Test the E-mail account by sending an E-mail to the WorkCentre account. This task should be completed at a mail client on your network that supports SMTP.
To access E-mail settings using Internet Services from a web browser window:
  1. From a computer, open the CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS) window. See the Related Items below for additional information. The main CentreWare Internet Services window will be displayed.
  2. Click [Properties], click [Connectivity], click [Protocols], and then click [TCP/IP].
  3. Enter the Domain Name in the Domain Name field. For example, type: abc.xyz@company.com in the field.

    NOTE: It is only necessary to configure the DNS settings if Host Names are to be used.

    If Dynamic Addressing has been set on the WorkCentre (DHCP or BootP) the Domain Name will not be accessible. To be able to access the Domain Name, select [Static] from the IP Address Resolution menu list.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the window and click the [Apply] button to implement any modifications.
  5. When prompted, enter the current Tools mode information in the Username and Password fields.

    NOTE: The default Username is 'admin' and Password is '1111'.

  6. Select [SMTP Server] from under the Internet Services Protocols section.
  7. Select either [IP Address] or [Host Name] and then enter the Host Name, or the IP Address and Port Number (1 - 65535) of the SMTP Server. The default Port is 25.
  8. Place a check mark in the Server Requires SMTP Authentication check box if required.
  9. Enter the Login Name and Password.
  10. Click on the [Properties] tab. The Properties window will be displayed.
  11. Click [Services], click [E-mail Settings], then click [E-mail Setup]. The E-mail Setup window will be displayed with the following list of options:
    • Scan Resolution
    • Attachment Type
    • Output color
    • Date / Time stamp on PDF documents

NOTE: Accessing the Public Address Book is optional. The Document Centre will accept a Public Address Book file that contains a list of user names and their E-mail addresses. This file must be Comma Separated Values (CSV) format for the device to be able to read the file contents. The majority of word processing packages will allow you to create a CSV file. A selection of e-mail applications will also allow you to export a list of users in the CSV file format.

The completed CSV file is imported to the device through CentreWare Internet Services. The file must have the .CSV file extension. A valid CSV file format includes the name and SMTP e-mail address. The CSV file should be created so that the Names are in one column and the E-mail addresses are in the next column. For example, the following are both valid format CSV file entries:

Smith, Smith@company.com
Smith, John - john.smith@company.com

The order in which entries are displayed in the Public Address Book at the Document Centre will depend on how the entries are sorted in the CSV file.

NOTE: This solution assumes Microsoft Internet Explorer is being used as the web browser. Other web browsers may vary. You may need to contact your System Administrator to perform this solution, as it requires knowledge of the network’s email system. Configuration of the LDAP directory settings requires the network to support LDAP Services.

The Document Centre will have to be configured for TCP/IP (IP Address, Subnet Mask, Broadcast Address, Gateway Address). Before you begin, print a Configuration Report and make sure the Document Centre has an IP address and the HTTP protocol is enabled.

From the workstation desktop:
  1. Click on [Start], point to [Programs], and select [Internet Explorer] to launch Internet Explorer.
  2. Click on [File] from the toolbar, then select [Open]. The Open window will be displayed.
  3. Enter the IP address for the Document Centre in the Address: field, then press [Enter] on your keyboard. CentreWare Internet Services window will be displayed.
  4. Click on [Index] in the upper, right corner of Internet Services. The Index window will be displayed with a list of hyperlinks to different areas of Internet Services.
  5. Click on [Public Address Book ] from the list of hyperlinks. The Public Address Book Settings window will be displayed.
  6. Click [Browse]. The Choose File window will be displayed.
  7. Browse to the location of your Address Book File (*.CSV).
  8. Highlight the CSV file and click on [Open]. The path for your .CSV file will be displayed in the Address Book File (*.CSV) field.
  9. Click on [Import Now]. An 'Are you sure you want to overwrite the existing Address Book? This cannot be undone' message may be displayed. Click [OK] to import the address book.

    NOTE: You cannot import a .CSV file with a blank name or e-mail field.

  10. An Enter Network Password window may be displayed. In the User Name: field, enter the system login of admin, in lower case letters. In the Password: field, enter the system password, then click [OK].

    NOTE: If you do not know the system password, contact your administrator. The initial system password at machine install is 1111 for the Document Centre 460|470|480|490, and 22222 for the Document Centre 425|430|432|440. If the administrator encounters a problem with changing or forgetting the machine password, a service call must be placed.

  11. Click on [Map Existing Address Book] to identify which headings in the CSV file contain the name and e-mail address to use in the Public Address Book.

    NOTE: If the CSV file contains names and e-mail addresses only, the file may map automatically.

  12. Click on the [Display Name] drop-down menu under the Imported heading. Select the heading that corresponds to the data you wish to use as the display name in the address book. The data you selected will be displayed in the Imported Sample field.
  13. Click on the [E-mail Address] drop-down menu. Select the heading that corresponds to the data you wish to use as the e-mail address in the address book. The data you selected will be displayed in the Imported Sample field.

    NOTE: If you are using a DC460|470|480|490, and if the CSV file does not contain a heading row, the drop-down menu will contain information from the first line of data in the file. For correct Public Address operation, the display name must map to a user name and the e-mail address must map to an SMTP format e-mail address, for example, name@domain.com.

    If you are using a DC425|430|432|440 and if your CSV file does not contain a heading row, the first row of data will be lost.

  14. Click on [Apply New Settings] to save any changes.

    NOTE: If you click on the [Clear All Addresses] button all entries will be removed from the current public address book.

  15. Click on the [X] in the upper, right corner to close Internet Explorer and return to the desktop.

In Internet Explorer you can select the field that has the email address in it, press the down arrow key to highlight an address in the list, and hit the delete key to remove that address from ever being used (until it is reentered into that box that is).

How to create mailing labels in Microsoft Works


With a Microsoft Works Word document open, select: Tools>Labels>(the list of available label types will pop up, select the label sheet you're using) then select: Tools>Mail Merge>Open Data Source...

Don't know how it could be simpler.
