Question about Westell Wirespeed LiteLine 6100 (B9961001002) Modem
Hi! Recently picked up a E90-610015-06 Westell modem off Ebay to replace my faultering C90-610015-06 unit that I have connected to Verizon service. After I plug it in what procedure do I undertake to enable it to connect to the internet (just plugging it in does not allow connection)? The original installation from Verizon involved inserting a CD-ROM to download drivers and set up account. Do I need to go through that whole process again to enable the new unit or can this be achieved by entering the setup mode at the Westell site (192.168.1.1)? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Plug your old modem back in and access it via the browser. Either dslrouter or 192.168.1.1 in the url seacrh bar. Go to configure and write down all the ISP setting and LABEL what sections in the configure they go to for your ISP. Still with me?
The plug in your "new" modem access it the same way and enter the ISP and modem settings from the old modem; it should work.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
