It is possible that the task bar is in 'auto hide' First thing you should do is rest your cursor on all four sides of your desktop for a few seconds and see if it appears. If it doesn't than move your cursor to the bottom of the screen and right click and choose 'properties' and uncheck the 'auto ide box'. I am not positive that this well solve your problem, but its the best I can do at the moment. I well research it and find more info, than I well post it for you.

I found the answer I think....

Go 'My computer' on the desktop.
'Go' - 'Applications' from the menubar and the menu is displayed.
'Pesonal settings' re-allows the configuration of the taskbar, than click 'apply' and it well return.

Let me know how you made out, and please rate my answer.

    Good luck.

My icon for the battery power monitor has dissapeared from my taskbar can you help me get it back please

Do you have Windows 7? If so, you can right-click on the bottom right corner of your desktop (try right-clicking the time/date), where the icons for volume control, wireless, battery, etc... should be and select Properties. You should then see a screen where you can turn on/off the icons/notifications for battery power (sometimes my volume control disappears and i have to do this.
Otherwise you can go here, Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Notification Area Icons and you should find the same thing. Then just turn on your battery power icon/notifications.
Hope this helps.

Missing battery indicator in the task bar

Hi,

No this is more typical with Windows Vista users as updates can disable the icons from the notification bar.

Chose 'taskbar' tab, then click 'customize' and chose the option for the battery icon and change to 'show' .

If you need anymore help please post back.

Regards.

Eeepc has no icons, just blue screen, can't access anything! Linux

When I was using Linux, there were 4 screens. On the bottom an icon showed which screen I was on. If you have that Icon, click the main screen (upper left) and you should be OK. Let me know if this works.

Volume level display

it sounds like your laptop drivers aren't working properly.. possibly the program dealing with your sound volume is corrupted or missing.

I'd try reinstalling your keyboard/touchpad drivers. what is the make and model # of your laptop?
