Sander won't shut off

Most likely the throttle valve is stuck open. On sanders usually sanding debris has coated the throttle valve pin, causing it to stick. Other times the throttle valve seal has worn and needs replacement.

Have an 80 Gal. 2 stage compressor outside, below freezing temps with 100% humidity. Running 2 DA's, they keep losing air pressure inside the DA's, hose pressure is good but DA will not let air past the...

First bring that compressor in from the cold. Any water it collects in the tank is freezing and reducing the volume of air it can hold.
Second, it sounds like water is getting to the DA and freezing at the inlet. Will also be solved by bringing the compressor inside.
Third, put the filters at least 25 feet from the compressor if possible. And make sure all lines from the compressor to the outlets are running a little up hill. This way any water that gets in the pipes will run back toward the compressor
Fourth, At each station have at least 4 inches of pipe below the fitting with valve on the bottom. This way any moisture that gets to the end of the pipe has someplace else to go rather than the air tool.

This will not only make your tools run better but they will last a lot longer.

Dynabrade sander doesn't spin

check the exhaust muffler. or just take it off and see what happens.

there is usually an inlet air adjustment on the palm sander itself one of these will correct your sander.
if not, and your air supply is good. put some air oil in it or even a light weight oil will work.
if none of this is the correct action to get it going. its probably toast!

get some air tool oil and oil it lol, if that will not speed it back up you may have to take it apart and clean it but the oil should do the trick. Do NOT use wd40, etc. use air tool oil

You need to look at the tool cfm requirements because they are posted on the package or usually in the ads. Your compressor will run the sander, just how long at a time will depend upon your tool's cfm. Rick

As soon as i apply my sander to the surface it stops sanding

hi a major problem with pneumatic tools is that nobody ever seems to oil them! try droping tool oil or a light machine oil down the air inlet and leave over night and then run the tool on full ,if this doesnt work then strip the tool and clean and make sure that the blade sealing surfaces are good
hope this helps ian
