Question about Invacare Pronto M51 Power Wheelchair

Power problem when I turned the unit on, the service light was blinking,then went out, now there is no power at all. The batteries are fully charged

Try the service guide in the following link. I would try unplugging chair from power unplugging battery from chair letting site for a bit. Make sure chair is in neutral then replace battery and make sure to look for safety switch etc. usually under the seat. (someone usually need to be sitting in chair for it to operate. )

The circuit breaker needs to be reset... i just can't locate where it is on that model.

Cant charge it Lights keep blinking and the only thing that works is the horn.


Before charging, make sure the unit is turned off. Connect the charger to the wall outlet first and then to the chair. Check that the battery cables are attached fully to the control box. Turn on charger. After charging, remove charger and verify the unit is fully in gear. The levers must be fully in the up position. If the lights still flash, some wiring is probably loose, or the drives are not fully engaged.

Sounds like the batteries are not getting charged. Check to see if there was some packing material in place to keep the batteries disconnected for shipping.

I have a digipower lithium power charger TC-U100 and cannot get my Casio NP-60 battery to charge in it. Am I inserting it wrong?


Maybe. This unit charges all different kinds of batteries, but that requires you to make sure that you have set the prongs in the right position to connect with the particular battery you are charging. You move two pins to align with the outer contacts on your battery (not the middle one) and then a spring door holds the battery against them. The unit sets the polarity automatically. 4 lights blink green until the battery is fully charged at 4 solid lights, i.e. 1 blinking light is a quarter charged.

Stuck on on mode. no power even when i recharge battery


hi, If you charging you battery and you will find the red light is blinking. the battery is damage it shoudl be steady red only and will be gone if the battery is fully charge.

if the battery is ok, try to hear if there's a weird noise from the lens unit maybe the said lens unit has a problem. If yes bring to service center and reuqest for estimate charge first before to proceed to repair.

First time charging up of archos 5,it has now been charging for about 14-15 hours. but the green light did'nt blink yet. it says after fully charge, the green light blinking. what can be the promlem about...

On an Archos, battery is fully charge when the CHG LED light is flashing, while that light is ON all the time, the unit is still charging.

Now, in order to charge your Archos you must leave it on Suspended mode, by holding the Power button for about 4-5 seconds until it says "Suspending", DO NOT leave it on completely "Shutdown" mode, or your battery will never charge, and you are also risking the life of your battery by doing so.

So in other words:

1) On a PC via USB it should take around 8 hours to charge, while connected to an Archos mini dock, battery dock, or DVR Station, it should take around 3 hours to fully charge.

2) Leave your unit completely "Shutdown" (hold the Power button and wait 10 secs. or so until it says "Shutting down" and let it go off.

3) Connect it to your power source, either USB on computer, or external charging device as mentioned above, it will come back on, the two LED lights CHG and Power will come on, leave it like that, and after a few minutes the unit will go into Standby/Suspended mode by itself, and there is when you are charging your battery the right way.

3) Wait 8 hours if connected to your PC, or 3 hours if connected to an external power supply (as described above). If still after being in suspended mode (not completely off) your CHG light isn't blinking after the 8 hours on PC, 3 hours on external power supply, then suspect your battery is defective.

In that case, if the unit is still under warranty contact Archos, if it is out of warranty. If it isn't under warranty, you can buy a replacement battery on eBay and either replace it yourself, or find someone with the technical skill to do it for you.

Green battery light on the archos 5 but when i disconnect it from dock or usb no green lights abd completely dead - won't switch on either in dock or out???


Power green LED light should come on, CHG green LED light should also come on showing the battery is being charged. Leave your unit in Suspend mode while charging it, DO NOT turn it completely off as "Shutting Down.." because it will not charge your battery.

I just purchased an almost new Archos 5 on eBay recently, and the first day I had it, happened to me that I left the unit off and charging on the Mini Dock with external AC power supply, after 13-14 hours the CHG light still wasn't blinking. Then I though maybe I have to leave the unit in Suspend mode rather than completely off, which I did, and in a matter of 3 hours it fully charged the battery.

Again, do not shut down completely the unit, leave it on Suspended mode, or even on, and connected it to your mini dock, after a while the screen will go blank the unit will go into Suspended mode by itself, and after 3 hours on external power supply or 8 hours via USB on PC should be completely charged and your CHG light should be blinking, indicating the battery is charged.

Hi,

Try to remove the battery and connect your laptop directly to the power adapter. We need to rule out that there is nothing wrong with the power of your laptop. Now, if the laptop turns on with just the power adapter. turn it off and place the battery. Make sure that the battery is charged. Then before turning on the laptop remove the power adapter. If the laptop won't turn on then there is something wrong with your battery you need to replace it.

Make sure the battery is fully charged! And make sure, too the problem is not come from Power IC problem! then your problem is security damage and called GDFS in sony ericsson. For repair this you must make test point or buy LOG to write GDFS again. No need box or any equipments just usb cable.

Blinking amber light means the battery is not fully recharged. Once it is charged, press the power button. If the the device still does not turn on take out the main battery and the backup battery. Put the main battery in first, then the backup battery and put the battery switch in the lock position. Press the power button and you should see initializing memory..., then starting..., then it will ask you to set up the device.
