150,000 mile service for a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE??

Outside of filters, maybe the PCV and spark plugs if not changed at 100,000 miles with Iridium .

Several possibilities, A local Checker, Autozone or O'Rielly can help with a code pull that would give you an idea of what is at fault.

Run fault codes and see what faults are recorded. If there are no recorded faults and the vehicle stars and runs and changes gears as it should then the CPU has the tune up in order and you do not need to spend any money.

Check your fuses. I belive the radio fuse is on the passenger side of of dash where it meets the door.

A defective electronic flasher relay will cause this problem. GM has a problem with these, please read on.

Supercede:

This bulletin is being revised to include 2001-2002 Chevrolet Malibu, Oldsmobile Alero, and Pontiac Grand Am vehicles. Due to part availability, it is anticipated that customers will not be notified until late April 2006. In the meantime, should a customer bring in a 2001-2002 Chevrolet Malibu, Oldsmobile Alero, or Pontiac Grand Am vehicle because the turn signal/hazard warning flashers are inoperative, repair the vehicle as described in this bulletin and submit the claim using the labor code found in this bulletin.

Please discard all copies of bulletin 04098 issued December 2004.

Condition

Some customers of 1999-2002 Chevrolet Malibu, Oldsmobile Alero, Pontiac Grand Am, and 1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass may have turn signal/hazard flashers that become inoperative.

Special Policy Adjustment

This special policy covers the condition described above for a period of 10 years or 150,000 miles (240,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer.

For 1999-2000 vehicles covered by Vehicle Service Contracts, all eligible claims with repair orders on or after December 23, 2004 are covered by this special policy and must be submitted using the labor operation codes provided with this bulletin. Claims with repair orders prior to December 23, 2004 must be submitted to the Service Contract provider.

For 2001-2002 vehicles covered by Vehicle Service Contracts, all eligible claims with repair orders on or after January 11, 2006 are covered by this special policy and must be submitted using the labor operation codes provided with this bulletin. Claims with repair orders prior to January 11, 2006 must be submiffed to the Service Contract provider.

Not sure how to answer this, if you have records of service and evrything that has been fixed right over the years its not bad. If its just had oil changes and little else it could last for 50 or 50,000 miles, its a gamble. If it was me i would buy it if it was going to be be a throw away car and not my daily driver just a spare.

Hello and welcome. this vehicle uses red coolant. the coolant is know as Dexcool. this coolant is good for 5 years or 150,000 miles.

first guess would be the fuel pump or fuel filter

spark plugs, wires, oxygen sensors, fuel filter,air filter, oil, oil filter and while your at it, ac filter. In AL it will run you about 200 done yourself.

If the car was maintained according to the instructions in the owner's manual it can easily go 150,000 miles with no major problems. But if the car was neglected or driven hard, it could have major problems in as little as 50,000 miles. So as you can see it all depends on how the car was driven and how it was maintained.
