    same problem

I have an 822 that recently will not hold more than two pumps. It has had thousands of rounds put through it ,and I always kept the plunger oiled. Seems like it is just not getting the air fully compressed before the next pump.

If its your first time using it, make sure the bolt is pulled back before pumping it. Pulling back the bolt resets the sear and drops the valve.

If its well used, either your pump head o-ring or valve has gone bad.

Is the gun I found in my attic any good the serial number is 197082 and its caliber is 22

Is it any good? Cock it with no pellet in it and fire it with a bit of paper across the muzzle, if it makes the paper jump it's ok.

How do i change my benjamin air rifle pump seal? has a seal kit. it also comes with a diagram. Benjamin and Sheridan air rifles do not have springs to propel the pellet. also never use vasalin. specifically for a Benjamin or Sheridan you need to use pelgun oil (also found at use pelgun oil because it is a non detergent fossil compound) the main intention is to condition the seals every 250 rounds. never use silicon based lube for this gun specifically. silicone lube is for spring air rifles such as break barrels.
