SOURCE: After replace the cold water

Many times when pipes are worked on, the work loosens sediment that was built up in the pipe.
Sediment is probably why cold water line was replaced.
That's why faucet aerators get clogged up after pipes are worked on.

It sounds like your grundfos pump got clogged too.
Immediately unplug the pump so motor is not overheating.
Motors are meant to turn freely and can be damaged when blocked.

Take apart the pipes at grundfos pump and see if you can clean out the line.
If line cannot be cleaned or pump doesn't restart, then the grundfos has to be replaced.

Also look at adjoining pipes and see if there is a clog in nearby elbow, especially where galvanized and copper pipes join..

SOURCE: After installing the thermo bypass

It sounds like the installation loosened sediment inside pipe.
Remove sink aerator and see if you can flush open the faucet.

Also check if other faucets are receiving hot water from hot-and-cold taps that says if grundfos is pumping hot water from the water heater correctly.

When recirculation pump is running, both hot and cold water lines have hot water.
If other faucets have hot water in both lines, then that tells you the blockage is localized in furthest faucet supply lines.
You may have to dissemble those supply lines and flush the sediment out.

SOURCE: Same problem as another writer

If the pump is hot, the motor has overheated and will stop working. There's no cure for motor at this point. Be sure to de-lime and de-scale re-circulation pumps occasionally.
Return pump and exchange for new. Sounds like you already diagnosed the problem correctly.

What digit in my vin number indicates transmission type for a ford aerostar 93 3.0 ? thank you

The VIN does not designate transmission type. You will need to get the information off of the transmission itself.

How do you take clear cover off to get to timer. I don't want to break it.

If your grundfos pump is like mine, it is a sealed 1-piece unit that cannot be taken apart and repaired.
I wanted to change the timer like you but i couldn't.

The autocirc circulation pump has a built-in timer.
I looked at that model, and it doesn't come apart either.

Now I have to wait for cold water at my taps

Yep! That is the problem with this type system!

To fix the problem run a third pipe from where the pump is back to tee into the cold input of the HW tank. Insulate this third line.

It will be more efficient as well.

Hammering while grundfos comfort system is pumping

Pipes should have been installed with cushioning to prevent this from happening. Could be a faulty bypass valve.
