SOURCE: My Vax rapide is not sucking up water?

I had the same problem. Then I took off the brushbar (it's underneath at the front). It just pops off. Then it worked fine. I guess you only need it for long carpets.

My vax cleaner trips the breaker on my consumer panel after about 30 seconds use. If I reset the breaker it will then operate for a similar time then trip again

It sounds like the windings or brushes in the motor are bad and draw too much current. Perhaps you sucked up too much water once and got the motor wet. I would take it to an electrics repair shop and have them check the brushes.

Take the motor out and check the fan, outside of that, you may have to replace the motor.

Reverse operation

You probably have a clog in either the dirt inlet down by the brush roll, or the hose itself is clogged.
