94 mitsubishi 3000gt will not turnover

I have a 94 mitsubishi 3000gt that wont turn over, the problem started about 6 months ago, every once in a while i would get in the car and when i would turn the key........nothing. I would have to turn in about 3 times and then all the sudden it would start. Kept getting progressively worse so I tried replacing wire that goes to starter, replaced starter, replaced battery. Checked fuses, inside car and underneath hood. Alternator has been replaced. I am now trying to replace the ignition switch. Any one have any ideas ? Maybe the starter relay? This car is very expensive to fix so I am trying not to take in to have it fixed if possible. Please Help!

Most starter solenoids are on the starter. There are 2 to 3 wires going to the starter, the big one from the battery is for the starter motor it's self. The smaller one is from the ign switch to the sol. That's the one I'm guessing your having problems with. When you turn the key do you get a "click" sound or just nothing? If there is a click then your getting power from the key. And the heavy gauge wire is not delivering power to the motor. Check at battery or if they use a terminal block

SOURCE: my car won't turn over

does this car have a safety device that won't let you start the engine unless the clutch is pushed in???
if so that little switch on the clutch pedal could be faulty.

did you have the battery light on when the car was running

SOURCE: No start concern - Mitsubishi Outlander 2004

Check the IAC valve...or sometimes known as an electronic choke. That valve is how your engine gets air when the throttle body plate is closed. If the valve is stuck due to malfunction or carbon build up then it will cause that problem, and give you a rough idle at best.

SOURCE: Hello, I have a 96 mitsubishi galant es that wont start

could be the crank sensor, you need to check spark and fuel delivery, if you have fuel then its got to be the high tension side of things that are wrong, does this model run off a coil pack for the ht, could be that, you said you change the alternator, check connections at the rear of alternator, this could be the supply for the ht etc, good luck.

94 3000gt problems

Could be such a multitude of things.Good news is for that problem 90% chance it is very minor but usually not cheap(small sensors cost a lot). You have to take it to an auto parts store for a FREE diagnostic check. Takes 5 min. and will tell you what sensor,ECU etc... is bad and would cause your particular problem.Spend your $ ONLY on what is causing your actual problem and if another part checks out bad but is causing no problem do not waste your $ on replacing it.BE WISE BEWARE and use common sense.

My 91 mitsubishi gto wont start and strong smell of fuel

Start by making sure you have spark to the spark plugs. If not you may have a problem with the plug wires or coil. It's also possible you're not getting gas to the engine possibly from a faulty fuel pump.
If you change the fuel pump be sure to replace the fuel filter also.
