Question about Magellan MAESTRO 3100 98083401 GPS Device
My Magellan Maestro 3100 worked perfectly until a few weeks ago. Then it started turning itself off while plugged in and losing all data. Also started recalculating very often. How fix?
Try using the RESET button . Make sure the battery is holding its charge

I have the same problems with power lose. Here is how I fixed it.
Be carefull and slide a small thin screwdriver over the top and unlatch
the two top latches and then pry around the plugin's and be careful, then the side latches.
Most of the time the power plug is lose and you will have to re-solder the four corners of the plug.
This worked for me

I have a Magellan, Maestro 3100 that is about 3 years old. I wish to inquire if it is possible to up grade the maps and data on this unit. Please let me know as I am traveling a lot and the present data on this unit seems to be old data and does not have present day roads and directions on it.
