A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Wireless not shown

Probably yes. Try uninstalling your current driver (control panel > hardware & sound > device manager) and then restarting it.
Most often than not, windows will try to re-install the driver automatically for you.
If it doesn't work, then try to install the driver manually from Dell's support website.
I believe that's the right page for your problems. Just navigate to the "Drivers & Downloads" tab and select your network adapter. There should be many options there, and if you're confused, refer to your laptop's spec sheet. Usually for Dell, it's either Broadcom or Intel.

Bluetooth Icon disappered after downgrading from VISTA -->XP

the bluetooth light you see is associated with both wireless (WiFi) and Bluetooth radios being on or off.  This does not mean you have the bluetooth software installed. You'll need to go to and choose your system (or type your service tag when requested) and download the drivers for your bluetooth.

Furthermore, make sure you have Windows XP with Service Pak 2 or higher installed before installing any bluetooth software. :)
