Question about Rival 3755 5.5-Quart
The lift handles are broken off and/or the plastic is becoming brittle and cracking. These are the handles that are on each side of the crock pot. These are used to move the entire unit. The handles are white and are attached with two hex head self-tapping screws. Additionally, there are two plaastic posts coming from the handle that seat into the metal shell, to give it additional leverage. When it tightens against the metal, the handle is immovable and force can be placed under it to move the entire crock-pot. Where can I buy the parts for it? Racking my brain trying to find a place.

SOURCE: one of two handles broken
I had this happen once. I contacted Rival about mine and they exchanged the whole unit. They even sent a box to ship it in prepaid! The whole process took about 3 weeks.

For what it's worth, when the handle on my mother-in-law's crockpot broke, I went to Home Depot and bought a cheap wooden drawer knob (about $1 as I recall). I put a plastic washer between the knob and the glass and another under the screw head from the bottom (to prevent cracking the lid), tightened the screw and good as new.

I looked this model up on the Rival website, and it had been recalled, so I have followed the directions to send in the plug for a new unit. According to others with similar issues, once they sent in the plug, they were sent an entire new crock pot, including the crock and lid. I am hoping that they do send me an entire new unit, however, if not, at least I will have a different model number and could order a lid for that model. I will never buy another Rival product, based on their poor customer service. Thanks for your help!!

My black handle broke off, too. I went to the hobby store and got a wood ball not too big and drilled a hole in it the same diameter as the screw that held in the original handle. Voila, I now have a wood ball knob handle on my crock pot lid. You just install it and cscrew it on just like you do a new knob on a kitchen cabinet.
