Find another HP Printer Driver that will allow you to have most of the features you had. You always seem to lose features when dealing with this. This is your only option. Search the HP.com website for suggestions. Put 7760 and XP in the search box.

How do i get floppy disk to run on windows 7..

Your computer is running a 64 bit Operating System. This means it is compatible only with 64 and 32 bit software. It is extremely likely that the floppy disk your are trying to use contains 16 bit software which was common in during the era of floppy disks.

The solution is to use VMWare, Virtual Box, or similar software to virtualize a 16 bit compliant operating system.

I have xp in my pc. I used usb disk driver but it did not work ... I do not know where is the problem

You must go to the BIOS setup and enable USB floppy drive support, and while you are at it, enable the so-called legacy drive support. Save the configuration and restart the computer.
How you access the Bios setup utility depends on your computer: At boot, you press F1 or F2 or F10, .... Check your user's manual.

Hi,

You may have a faulty power supply cord... if the light isn't turning on, there's definitely no power going to the drive. Try a different cord. if that doesn't work, there may be something wrong with the drive itself.
Try that first. Once you have power, and it still doesn't work, you may need to try a different ribbon as well.

Also try reversing the connector on the floppy drive, even if you think it's plugged in the right way. Check the power connector and make sure you haven't 'missed' a pin when you plugged it in. It can be difficult to get the power connector lined up correctly with the pins if you attach it when the drive is screwed into place in the case.
Check that the floppy drive is enabled in BIOS Setup, and configured correctly.
Basically, ensure that BIOS POST identifies it correctly at boot up, then check that 'Device Manager' in Windows identifies it correctly. 'My Computer' about the last thing to check!

Windows xp to vista external HD transfer problem?

It is exactly right... YOU are not 'in control' of the hard drive and your buddy's computer doesnt have the 'permissions' to work with YOUR files...

It MAY be possible to get the okay if he logs into his computer as the administrator.... it is NOT an actual 'hardware' issue... being able to see the files says that... XP and vista are 'close enuf' design-wise that drive compatability isnt it either...

If your friend can log in as 'administrator' he will likely be able to take 'ownership' of the files on your 'external' drive and get what you need!
