Audio fluctuating The volume fluctuates every few seconds -- higher, lower, higher, lower. What could this be?

Just watching regular TV, cable or not, the volume always fluctuates. It does better when I turn the volume up to 10 or 11, but below that, it fluctuates like mad. It's to the point where grab the crowbar and debate on smashing it. The only cables I tested was the power cable and analog antenna. Both were connected securely. I play movies through surround sound, so I don't have to worry about that. It's just regular TV.

I am having trouble with my sound going in and out every 10 seconds. I checked all the cables and they were fine. I also tried watching a movie on my DVD player and the same thing happened. It happens with cable, DVD, and a playstation. I am not sure what to try next.

First check all the cables. If you have a DVD player connected, play a movie and see if the volume is normal. We want to eliminate the possiblity of external problems. Write back and let me know, and we'll go from there.

How close should the temp control hold the temp

Generally the oven temperature will fluctuate as much as 30 degrees above or below the set temperature. The longer the oven is on, the less the temperature fluctuates. If you measure the highest and lowest temperatures readings with a thermometer after the oven has been preheated at least 20 minutes, you should come up with an average temperature somewhere within about 10 degrees of the set temperature. You can calibrate most ovens up to 35 degrees higher or lower if it is off. Any more than that requires replacing parts.

The volume on my Denon dra-555 amplifier goes up and down. Any idea why

Your resistors at the volume control are either going bad or you need to replace the volume control its self.

Volume fluctuates up and down for no reason. I use charter digital cable system

This is common of advertisers to do this. Some higher end TVs can auto adjust the volume to keep it at a more even level but commercials are usually louder on purpose. The FCC has just passed a bill to limit this practice. You can read more about it here:

Intermittently my Vizio model e370va volume will rise on its own and get distorted then turn off and in a few seconds, turn on the TV. Visio tried replacing the power board. Same problem. Replaced the TV...

I was having the same issue. I found this on Fixya and it seems to have worked.

Okay I just called and found this out. I have the 32 inch vizio hd flat screen. My problem with weak and fluctuating volume, was that I have a cable box. Go into menu, then audio and under the advanced audio section you will see srs trusurround HD and srs trusurround. Basically this function automatically adjusts volume levels for satelites and whatnot. But because cable boxes automatically have this feature you could just turn off the srs trusurround. Hopefully that should help you.

Should the oil pressure gauge fluctuate with speed

The oil pressure guage will fluctuate with engine RPM. At idle it should be approximately 20 lbs./sq.in, at high revs about 50-60 lbs./sq.in. Hope this helps any concerns you may have. Good luck!

Realtek "high definition" audio drivers cause volume fluctuations

I had this problem with realtek drivers. You can try updating to the latest driver but for me the only solution that truly worked was investing about $100 in a good creative x-fi soundcard and disabling the onboard. I haven't had another sound problem since adding the soundblaster x-fi. Hope this helps.
