  • You can try a can of liquiod air first and blow out the dust inside the fan and you can also add more cooling thermal paste to the heat sink above the CPU.
  • There is an youtube video that will show you this procedure if you are technical savy.

SOURCE: Toshiba Laptop A205-S4577 won't start up

If the battery is removed, it should still start up with the charger connected. A lot of laptops develope problems with the jack where the power supply plugs in, from constantly plugging & unplugging the charger. The jack in the back of the computer is probably bad.

It is possible to connect a modem to the laptop. Connect the modem to the laptop using the telephone style socket on the laptop. The mother board will then pick this up and load the relevant drivers for your modem.
If you are not sure, contact Toshiba online. They are extremely helpfull.
Hope this helps.

Why My fan is runing to often? I have Toshiba Laptop satellite L645

You need to get pressurized air and blow the vents to remove dust particles causing over heat. Or if possible remove keyboard to expose cooling fan and chip and use pressurized air to blow off dust

Are you hitting the right key to get into the bios? When you boot the laptop it should tell you what key to hit to get into the BIOS or System Setup.

The Windows operating sustem appears to be corrupted and most like to get a working computer you need to restore it back to the factore default condition.
Before you attemp to do this and to back up data, remove the hard disk from the Toshiba and connect this hard disk to an USB hard drive adapter, then plug this adapter into the USB port of a working computer. This computer will see this as an external storage device. You can then open the various folders on this drive and back up your data on this computer or an USB memory stick.
To restore your Toshiba, insert the hard disk back into the Toshiba and follow these instructions..
Restore Toshiba to Out of the Box Condition
If your model Toshiba laptop has a Restore partition on thehard drive then follow these steps to restore your Toshiba to the Out of theBox condition.
1. Press and hold the 0 (zero) key and at the same time, tap the power buttononce to switch on
your notebook.
2. When the machine Starts beeping; release the 0 key.
3. When prompted by the warning screen; select Yes to continue with the systemrecovery.
4. Select Recovery of Factory Default Software; click Next.
5. Select Recover to out-of-box state. 6. Click Next again.
7. Click Next to Start recovery.
8. Restart the Toshiba laptop when there restoration process finishes running.Follow the prompts that appear on the screen to set up the laptop's date, timeand language settings.http://www.fixya.com/support/r8248520-restore_toshiba_out_box_condition

"A problem with the cooling system has been detected."

have you tried blowing out the internals of the notebook with compressed air? if the laptop is not actually overheating it could be a sensor problem. if that's the case you can more than likely disable these warnings in bios. hope this helps!

Toshiba Satelite M10 cooling system not working

If you DO NOT hear the fan running, have it looked at by a professional. Your fan may have died. If you can hear the fan running, blow out the fan exhaust port in the opposite direction of normal air flow. Especially on lap tops, the heat sink cooling fins become completely clogged with dust. When this happens the processor overheats causing it to run slow and eventually shuts itself down to keep from going super nova. You should blow it out at least once or twice a year. Also, if you use your laptop on the couch or in bed, place it on a hard surface like a cutting board or something similar that will allow air to flow underneath the computer. This will also help prevent dust from the cushions or blankets and such from clogging the cooling fins on the heat sink faster than usual. Remember blow it out in the opposite direction of normal air flow. You want to blow the dust out the same passage it came in through.

System warning pop-up

Are you sure that nothing is overheating? If your cpu fan is turning too slow it won't disipate the heat. Do you have a program showing cpu temp:? I would take the access off the bottom and make sure the cpu fan is clean. If that is not the problem I believe you can turn the warnings off in the bios settings
