Question about MSI Computers & Internet
I took an MSI 880GMA Motherboard out of an old Micro ATX case and Micro ATX power supply, purchased a new ATX case, power supply ( Thermaltake 430 Watt PSU ) and put the same motherboard, same CPU, Same RAM, Same Hard Drive, Same DVD, and placed them in the new ATX case, with the new ATX PS When i power the system unit on, I get no video coming from the Motherboard. I originally had the monitor hooked up with a DVI connector, and used the same connector and same power cord and when I powered on the monitor it says "DVI Input = no input signal", I tried replacing the cord using a standard VGA cable that is a known good cable, and it did the same thing "VGA Input = no input signal". Please advise...as I'm not sure where to go from here.... I used an anti-static wrist strap and anti-static mat while taking it out of the old Micro-ATX case, and putting it into the new ATX case. i took every precaution I could think of to make sure it would go smoothly...and here I sit clueless as to what happened...because just earlier today this motherboard was working just fine ? Please advise..... Thank you for your assistance. ~Matt
This may sound simple, but make sure the monitor is set to correct input. Many are auto detect, but you never really know.
You could also check BIOS for onboard video. Disable if you have an add-on video card. Enable if you don't
Reseat the video card if it an add-on.
