Where are the filters on a Handy master forced air heater- our smells very bad

Pretty much every kerosene heater I've seen has the filters in the same place. You have to take the cover off, then locate the pump at the back of the motor. Take 2 or 4 screws out of the pump to remove the pump cover, and you'll see the filters in there.

There are some kind of generic directions here: http://www.desatech.com/techDocs/Kerosene%20Heater%20Filter%20Replacement.pdf

I'm sure they apply to your heater too.

Be careful putting it back together, it's reeeeally easy to crack the plastic pump by overtightening the screws, and it will never work right again if you do.

Heater fires after a few seconds of blowing fuel the runs a short time and trips breaker

Check the flame sensor. It is a photo type sensor and may need to be cleaned. If that doesn't help, use an ohmmeter to test the sensor. Connect the meter to the 2 wires of the sensor then cover the openning. The resistance should change to several Kohms. Uncover the sensor and the resistance should change to a couple hundred ohms. Replace the sensor if needed.

How do i get an owners manual for a Handy Master kerosene heater (HM19)?

I get about 90% of my manuals from the manufacturers web site. Give that a try. You may have to do a bit of research, I do not recognize the Handy Master brand, it may be a relabel from another manufacturer.
Good Luck

Fire stoppes and fan still runs

1st take a air gun and blow in the fan to clear of debris. 2nd make sure to push your reset button on the back by your fan. Last you can calibrate your flame/heat by removing the fan housing & you will find 2 set screws try a small 1/16 turn on them and try to run, should run better for you.

remove the outer cover and then the plate at the back of the motor, then lube the back of the motor and the inside of the plate with a lubricant spray. (wd40) put it all back together.
