SOURCE: USB flash drive wipe out

I went to the Sandisk website and they actually have a bunch of how-to videos on there that will help you out with your problem: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1459 As for getting your information back, you would need special recovery software in order to do that. Here is a link that might be able to help you with that: http://www.download.com/VirtualLab/3000-2248_4-10642058.html

SOURCE: sandisk suddenly says the disk is not formatted

Possible Reasons:

1. The device is too old and can be corrupted with time went on. As you know no hardware can be life-long ever.

2. There are bad sectors in the specific area of the disk that is required for a file system, e.g. for a boot sector or the FAT table sector. Since such a drive is obviously not possible to use, Windows refuses to format it.
3. Sometimes, you cannot format the drive to the FAT file system if it has been formatted to a file system which is not recognized by Windows. Such a drive should be reformatted to NTFS first, and then to the FAT file system.

Solution:
Step 1: Try the problem removable disk on another computer (better be most common Windows OS). See if the device can be accessed normally. This way can clear the buffers and eliminate incompatibility. Sometimes it will let the error disappear and make the drive work normally again.
Step 2: If the first method still won't help. Try recovering the data with some data recovery programs first of all. If you are running Windows, you can use Data Recovery for Windows. For Mac OS X users, turn to Data Recovery for Mac
Step 3: After the files are recovered, then follow those steps to try format the error drive (connect the disk to your PC first). My computer -> Properties -> Manage -> Computer Management -> Storage -> Disk Management -> select the problem drive and then format it from here.
Step 4: It's not over. After formatting, try use the data recovery software recommended in #2 to re-scan the drive to see if you can harvest more data. Note: format won

How i format my 16gb data traveler

If your computer is XP, Vista or Windows 7, right click on the "My Computer" icon,
then left click on "Manage", on the left side list left click on :"Disk Management".
If your fash drive is pluged in and detected it will appear on the list of drives.
Look for the 16GB drive, then left click to have a list of option to perform on
the drive. Select "Format" and a pop-up window will appear for formatting options.
I recommend "Fat 32", as it is best for normal transport or backup option.

When i try to transffer data to the sandisk sd 2gb card im getting 0x8007045d error help please

it is because your card is formated as FAT ( this means that you can only store small files on it ). To fix this do the following 1. open my computer 2. right click on th sd card 3. press format 4. in format select fat32 instead of fat 5. click format (you will lose all data currently on the card) 6. when it is finished you should be able to copy files onto it

You just need to go to "My computer" and then there should be an icon for it. Click that icon and you should see your pictures, then just drag and drop them to the desktop or wherever it is you'd like to keep the pictures.

You're out of luck on this one that is why they put the security feature on there. You'll either have to take a chance with another password and lose your info or format the drive and lose the info anyway. Sorry couldn't be much help.

Dont worry about being prompted, that is an OS option and you may of turned off by accident. When you insert the flash drive into your USB port, does th elight on the drive ligh up? If not your flash drive may of gone bad.

If it does light up, click on "My Computer" and see if it shows up there.

Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
