Question about IBM (08K3261) for ThinkPad A20P, A20M, A21P, A22P Graphic Card
Sorry, that was Windows 2000 Professional that will not load or boot up. The blue screen that comes up when Windows 2000 is attempting to load says that I need to check the hard drive and hard drive controllers for corruption. The STOP error tells me to run CHKDSK/F to check the hard drive and then restart. I cannot get past this screen! I was online when the computer shut down 3 days ago and did this. I had just downloaded a word document from my professor, and saved it. I do not have a boot disk for WINDOWS 2000 Professional, I bought the remanufactured laptop on ebay 1.5 years ago. Haven't had any problems with it, and it does have a Belkin wireless card. Any ideas? Thanks!
You can download the software known as Active boot disk. With this you can create a bootable cd to run a chkdsk with the f and r command to fix and recover errors on disk. you can also explore your comp and copy files to an external disk. If after the system boots normally after chkdsk you might have a problem with your HDD get it replaced before it crashes again
