Question about Washing Machines

Open Question

I got a washing machine it's Lg 10kg wd1019bd it's got a noise like a dry bearing but I don't think it's a bearing because when it washes the noise is not there but when it sprays water the noise starts and when it emptys I think it's the water pump or a solenoid unless it's something else if any body had this problem cheers

When the unit is off, open the door and spin the drum, does the noise occur? If the answer is no then there is nothing wrong with the bearings. Chances are the hall sensor on the motor is on the way out. Call for service and ask them to replace it. Make sure you are using a "HE" branded detergent,,,, less is best.

SOURCE: I have a Westinghouse mastermind 708 washing

I would check the internal coin trap/drain to make sure it is not blocked with socks or 3-in1 dryer sheets. If the water does not drain it backs up and causes error messages and spin problems. These are normally not listed in the manual so you have to take off a panel to find it. Could be at the bottom or in the back. Unscrew and check the trap and remove any blockage. Prepare for a mess if you can't fit a bucket under the trap!

SOURCE: the water wont drain from my machine from the wash

What you need to do is check the pump is getting a feed to it
Select a spin cycle, and with a test meter, test for voltage across the pump terminals, if you are getting a feed, and the pump is working ok, then you obviously have a blockage beyond the pump.
If no voltage then could be a broken wire, or a faulty programmer/board.
ONLY CHECK FOR VOLTAGE IF YOU ARE COMPETENT TO DO SO, as it takes no prisoners.
Hope this helps.

if the machine fails to spin and makes noise there are thee things to check .if it fails to drain the water check if something is stuck on the drain pump no 2 turn the drum with your hand and check if the drum is moving freely if not something is stuck between the drum and the housing if the bearings are faulty the machine spins but makes alot of noise towards the end of the cycle i hope this will help you.

LG Washing Machine makes a groaning sound.

Its most propably bearings on the drum, normally the seal in front of the bearings is leaking ,allowing water into the bearings, which destructs them..
It is bigger job to take the drum apart but do'able with basic tools.
If possible, source the seal and bearings beforehand.

Another factor can be overloading, try lightening the loads first..

My 4 year old roper washer leaves grease on clothes. On spin cycle the machine makes a screaching noise, and the clothes don't spin dry.

Possible that the belt is slipping and also there is some issue with the agitator as the gaps within seems to bring up the dirt or grease mix to the clothes.
So it is important to remove the panel and check the play on the belt, replace if the play is high and check if the agitator bearings are worn out. If so the agitator assembly must be taken out and checked.

There is only two things that I can think of 1: The bearings are going or 2: something has got under the door seal and is in between the metal drum and the plastic cover (around the drum). Could be something like a coin or even a bra wire.

Your problem requires very skilled LG technician to check the wiring circuit from the control board to the motor and hall sensor. Very possible that the control board is bad but highly unlikely. Suspect the wiring harness with high resistance to the motor.
Good luck
