I can tell you from my own experience with fryers, that they take quite some time to heat up....before lighting.... The probe takes some time to get hot, before it will kick on and light. You normally have to hold the light button on for some time, before the manual fryers will light. I have helped many a customer who cannot seem to get their manual gas fryers to light, and normally it's because they don't hold the light button down long enough. The sensor in there takes alittle time to heat up and it tells the fryer it's time to light. I think people get alittle scaried with gas and just don't hold it down long enough. Try holding that button in longer first, then light it... It should work. If not, call us and we'll try to walk you through it.... Our service tech is Ray, and I'm Susan with Restaurant Equipment Outlet, Cincinnati, Ohio, 888-542-5959. Thanks and good luck, Susan
This is our number one issue with gas fryers... Not being able to get the unit lite.... Normally our service techs tell our customers they are not holding down the pilot light button long enough. The sensors in there take some time to get hot enough to send a signal to the pilot telling it to light... If you need someone to walk you through it, call Ray at 888-542-5959, at Restaurant Equipment Outlet.
Hi there. If the unit is cooled down and the button will not reset, you have to replace the reset button, its mechanical part may have worn out that's why it wont go back to its normal position. Regards.
Normally, on manual gas fryers, people don't hold down the light pilot button long enough for the sensors to heat up, to tell the pilot to light.... That's our number one complaint, and number one service call, and it's almost always the same thing;..... Hold the button down much longer, then try to light it... If you still have trouble, call our service tech, Ray @ 888-542-5959, at Restaurant Equipment Outlet, Cincinnati, Ohio. Thanks, Susan REO
