SOURCE: Husqvarna chainsaw 440e - enough chain lube?

That seems low to me. Page 15 in your manual is the only oil discussion I found. Usually there is an oil pump adjustment reference somewhere. I didn't see one beyond return it for service on page 15. Are the chain and bar hot after cutting a while? I recommend you not get a longer bar without an oiler adjustment. I think the hand of the EPA has been here.

An IPL (exploded parts list) for a 440 can be found here:
http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/USA/2009/I09000/I0901018.pdf
There is no oiler adjuster listed. HTH

Might be a good idea to copy the IPL,

I use 50:1 in everything.
Fuel/Oil Mixture

  1. Use a quality 2 cycle oil and mix it to the OIL suppliers recommended ratio. Today I use Stihl 2 cycle oil mixed @ 50:1 in a Pioneer that I purchased new in 1980. There are no gouges or scratches on the piston or cylinder and I have no carbon build up on the piston top. The manual (on stone tablets) recommends 24:1. Over the years the mixture has leaned from 24:1 (Saw Recommendation) to 28:1 (Lawn boy mower recommendation) to 32:1 (Oil provider 2gal premium/8oz chainsaw 2-cycle engine oil - used for many years) and finally the last 5 (±) years 50:1 (1gal premium/2.6oz Stihl 2-cycle engine oil)
  2. Any fuel containing ethanol is not good with chainsaws. Mix what you expect to use within a few weeks. Anything over 1.5 months old use up in a 4 cycle engine. HTH

SOURCE: I have a Polan Model 2375 Wild Thing Chain Saw.

A Poulan IPL for your saw “2375LE Gas Saw Type?” (LE is code for WildThing; if your saw is beyond serial -2 look at a saw without the LE; it makes little difference to the fuel system) can be found here:
Poulan.com
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/POULAN-WEED-EATER/75.59.html
The dash number of your serial number is the type.

  • Small hose (filter on bottom) long enough to reach all corners inside tank, to lower carburetor connection. Please leave the 2 carburetor connections long enough to reverse until the saw is running.
  • Upper carburetor connection, small hose to suction side of primer.
  • Pressure side of primer (large hose) to tank fitting.
The IPL is deceptive it appears the filtered hose connects to the primer; it does not.

A typical fuel system and suggestion or 2 follow:

Chain saw will not pump oil to chain and bar.

Try the easy fixes first, remove the guide bar and chain, clean out the bar groove and delivery hole, clean any debris away from the bar pad on the machine, drain the oil tank, re fill with a suitable cleaning fluid, rinse the tank out well to release any dirt in the tank, now try again.

ON a Poulan 220 Pro all of the fuel lines are

Your fuel lines are routed like the schematic below. I suggest you replace the filter, all hoses (2 different sizes), and the purge button (bleeder).
http://www.fixya.com/support/r3706813-2_cycle_fuel_system_repair
Let us start with the bleeder. The 2 hoses that connect to the bleeder are different sizes (Important). If the nipples are the same size connect a hose temporarily to one of them and place the free end in a small container of mix (please be careful with open gasoline and as soon as it is no longer needed put it out of harms way.). Squeeze the bulb if it blows bubbles that is the return side, it gets the large hose and attaches to a fitting on the tank. If it appears nothing happens but when released fuel is drawn into the bleeder it requires a short section of small hose and attaches to one of the carburetor fittings.
A second small hose goes through the tank and connects to the carburetor just like the video including the filter. It feeds the carburetor like it has since before bleeders were installed. I am not certain which carburetor fitting connects to the tank or the primer, please leave them long enough to swap until the saw is running. Logic says the upper most fitting (air bleed) goes to the primer but that is not always true. The Poulan drawing is deceptive it appears the filtered line feeds the bleeder it does not!!!

The IPL (exploded parts list) for your saw is the only detail for fuel line routing and it is sketchy at best. Fuel components and part numbers are listed but are on different illustrations. They are also beneficial with disassembly/reassembly.
A link to a Poulan "PP220 Gas Saw Type 5 follows (may not be your saw):

If your saw is not a Type 5 you can find the correct IPL here:
Poulan.com
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/POULAN-WEED-EATER/75.59.html
The dash number of your serial number is the type.

Husqvarna 137 Chain won't stop when idleing. I turned the T screw down just enough to keep it running chain keeps on going. Could it be the clutch?

your carburator is gummed up. Get some carb. cleaner additive for your fuel, run a couple of tanks of treated fuel through the saw and it will be ok.

Chain saw (skill 1631) no start ,Have spark,Starts for few seconds when put one spoon of gas in spark plug

There may be a fuel delivery problem. Check the fuel filter on the free end of a hose in fuel tank (manufacturer recommends an annual replacement). Check all fuel delivery lines especially at fittings and bends for cracks and holes. If those are good then the likely cause is internal parts of the carburetor are dirty or have failed. HTH

Chain saw has no power when trying to cut wood, bogs down and will die,

If you did nothing to the carburetor adjustments, are using a fresh (3 months or less) fuel mix with the same oil/fuel ratio, are operating at the same elevation, and the air filter is clean, there is a reason your saw is acting up.

Maybe time for a tune up, $40± @ my local Stihl dealer. If you have this done ask what oil/fuel ratio they used and continue with that ratio until your next tune up. HTH

How do I install fuel lines on a poulan chain saw model 1950?From carburator to primer, from primer to fuel tank, two connections on each.

The smaller line comes from the fuel filter in the tank to the nipple on the side of the carb with the cover w/ 1large screw in the center, the other small line goes from the other nipple on the carb to the primer bulb, the larger line goes from the other nipple on the primer bulb back to the tank, and only gets pushed in about 1/2-3/4" into the tank. Hope this helps.
