Uninstall yahoo messenger, then go to messenger.yahoo.com and install the current version, the error code is due to a bug in the beta version, or the version you are using

I can not get on yahoo messenger. why? i have downloaded messenger 10 , still nothing. could you please help me get it back? thank you

Are you having a problem of logging in to your YM (Yahoo Messenger)?

First, try to access your Yahoo Mail, to verify that your user name and password are still working.

Try to login using your user name only without the domain (@yahoo.com)

Example: Let's say your email address is john.smith@yahoo.com.

Go to www.mail.yahoo.com
Your user name should be "john.smith" only (without @yahoo.com).
Then type your password. If you can access your Yahoo Mail, then same procedure applies to Yahoo Messenger.

If same problem occur, try to access the YM in another computer, so that you can isolate the problem.

Thank you and good luck!

Connection problem 81003004

To solve this kind of network connection in your yahoo messenger, just click on your yahoo messenger, select the connection preferences in the menu and then select the proxy server as the connection preference other than the internet one. then select from either the dial-up, broadband or the high speed t1 lan connection. it's up to you how you connect.
it works for me. hope this can help you.

cheers,
argion

Disk Clean, Defrag, Disk Errors..ect and them reenstall yahoo messanger. you can also got to yahoo and donload the latest messanger and update your exsisting one. The 3004 means that your might be out of date and need to update. If you have had this computer sence 2004 or earler you might just be out of date...Good luck.. Cant sign in to yahoo messenger

I believe this problem is caused by a proxy error.  Does Internet Explorer connect to the Internet OK? Do you or your network provider use a proxy? Or a local proxy program such as Privoxy? If no, make sure that Yahoo is set to connect "Firewall with no proxies".  If yes, set Yahoo Messenger to use HTTP proxies.

Yahoo messenger problem

try to login to the yahoo webmail and check whether you are able to login to chat from there , If yes
Safe boot the computer and remove yahoo chat from your comp and restart and reinstall yahoo chat programme
You can also try from different chat browsers which support yahoo like Koolim.com - just to check if it is not and issue with your browser or chat programme
