Question about Miele G 1470 SCVi Built-in Dishwasher
I bought a new waterproof hose 120V, because my dishwasher wasn't getting water, and I was told by Miele technical service that this hose doesn't allow water to get in.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

you should have a dispenser on the door to add salt, regardless get c.l.r. calcium lime rust remover from a supermarket, lowes, home depot.put a cup in the unit ,run for 15 minutes and then put a cup in again.let the unit complete its cycle.if you still smell the odor repeat until its gone.you could also use baking soda, flour or vinegar.

Check the bottom floor pan, if water is there, only the drain will operate. Sometimes the float switch, which is a styrofoam block, gets warpped and activates the switch. This turns on the drain pump which overrides everything.

SOURCE: Miele dishwasher not heating
you would have to turn the unit on it's side and remove the bottom plate and check with a multi meter the resistance of the heating element to see if the heating element is defective. i doubt the dishwashing liquid caused a fault other than causing the unit to over sud and spill water into the base. You could remove the panel under the door and have a look and see if you have flooded the base. if you have a float switch in the base (white polystyrene disc and switch) this will stop the unit from working as well. dry up any water and try it again. hope this helps and don't use the dishwashing liquid in the unit.
