Be sure its not your drain pipe. Incorrect installation should be covered by the installer, but warranty companies are covering install failures for 30 days....contact the installer and place a damage report. Take pictures of the damage....also call the manufacturer, inform them of the problem they will want a technician to take a look at the unit...again will cover install failue for 1st 30days(at no charge to you) so the service company should not charge you anything. Drain hoses are usually a standard 3 feet long i believe. I'm not aware of any factory extension kit. but if you go to a hardware store and by some rubber tubing large enough to fit your drain hose and go to the drain, secured with a hose clamp at the hose and a ziptie at the drain, that should work fine.

you should be able to purchass a connector, then if you can get an old pipe same diamiter join them. tip when you join them heat the pipe in hot water, and this will then push on fairly easy. Also if you use a little glue on the connector then this will dry and work as a seal.

Where can I get an instruction sheet to install GE Part # WH49X301, drain hose extension?

perhaps you need to ask the people where you got the extra part from
and perhaps they can give you detail

you can get details of after market parts only from the makers of the after market part

you put it back as the old one was taken off
or you get it right

you need an expoloded diagram or service manual
or training too do it absolute
or if untrained in the exact machine process
use your best guess and get it right by the sums you use

unless you get some trained engineer with the book or even too the book to go from best guesstimation is the only way...
afterll it depends how many screws and bits you have left how it will them work ,,

Check this following things then your washer will be fine.
* Has the drain hose been put flat on the floor?
* Is the drain hose clogged with lint?
* Is the drain hose kinked?
* Is any part of the drain hose higher than 20 cms from the floor level?
* Is the extension drain hose longer than 3 m?
* Is a narrow drain hose being used?

Thanks for your question.

WF448AAP Drain hose short, door swings to left, washer on right?

plumbing in the wall is usually placed according to where your unit is going to be placed,..not the case here as i/you can see,..you should be able to get a piece of hose (from private appliance store) and an "insert coupling" (has little "barbs" on it so it stays put after you clamp it) and make your extension,...don't make it to long or to tight, you don't want tension on the hose,....baby sit this "custom repair" to insure it dosn't leak, ya know, watch a couple loads go thru it's cycle,......if you can't get this happening, you can have the drain in the wall moved,....not a big job if your drain is plastic. good luck.

Try this first.

Washer won't drain or spin
Is the drain hose clogged, or the end of the drain hose
more than 96" (2.4
m) above the floor?
Is your voltage low?
Check electrical source or call electrician. Do not use an
extension cord.
Is the "SUD" routine active?
Cycle will complete once extra suds are removed.
Is the load balanced?
A single or bulky item may cause imbalance. Add more items
or redistribute the load.

Water gets into disher when not inuse

dishwasher drain enters sewer system tapped into waste pipe below kitchen sink
water flowing from kitchen sink passes the opening of the dishwasher pipe
If the dishwasher hose does not loop up higher than the kitchen sink before going down to the bottom of the dishwasher water may flow downhill through the dishwasher drain into the dishwasher
ensure the dishwasher drain hose is screwed to the underside of the kitchen counter, to provide a stop to water flow.
The installation instructions suggest this
but often the dishwasher is at the end of its 'stretch'
and the installer assumes looping is just to use up excess hose, and doesnt.
an extension drain hose is available at most appliance stores

Washer won't fill up

The problem is most likely your drain. If there is no air break at the drain,( a gap where the hose goes into the pipe so air can enter) Your water will siphon out of the machine. Also make sure your drain pipe is higher than the tub of your washer and you only want about 6 inches of the drain hose sticking into the pipe. If you have water coming back out of the pipe when the machine drains, you will need a plumber to clean the pipes or replumb the drain. New washers pump out faster than older ones did and they need a good drain to handle the flow.
