Question about KitchenAid Kitchen Ranges
With the bottom ignitor glowing, the oven will reach about 225 degrees, but the main bottom burner never kicks on/never lights, I swear there is no gas coming in for it to ignite.

Sounds like that ignitor is weak. When the ignitor glows it builds up resistance to the gas valve for gas to come in. If it sometimes takes 10 min then the proper resistance isn't there and this will give you that gas smell. Replace the ignitor and this should solve your problem. Can expect to pay $80 - $100 for the part.

SOURCE: Oven burner doesn't light
Replaced the ignitor on mine 10 mins ago.... Works like it's brand new. You have to remove the bake pan in the bottom of the stove, remove the drawer, and the sheet metal shield protection the connection. Entire job was 10 mins.

Gas oven does not work. Burners and broiler work. When oven kGnob is turned on, there is no glow at ignitor, nor any gas smell.
