Check your driver to make sure you have the correct resolution driver installed that matches your print head. For example, if your print head says 203 dpi on it but you install the 300 dpi driver, it can cause this problem.

You can adjust the darkness level +/- 10. If you adjust it all the way to 10 and it is still too light, there is a print head pressure adjustment screw to the left of the ribbon feed roller.

SOURCE: ribbon feeds out with label on the intermec

Check to make sure that the printer is set to Thermal Transfer and not Direct Thermal. If the printer is in Direct Thermal, the ribbon take-up does not turn.
If the printer is set to Thermal Transfer then I would suspect a bad Power Supply since the ribbon take-up is driven by the power supply and not off the main board.

Label not printing

Firstly, check your software settings, sometimes you need to reduce the print speed a bit, and turn the darkness up... if there is a knob for print head pressure adjustment, turn it up! i'd also clean the head and platen roller with isopropyl alcohol, failing all of the above, contact your media supplier and check that you have the correct media combination. hope this is of help to you, Markus.ps Failing that ...if you need a trained intermec engineer....... contact Precision Peripherals.... jrichards@printer-service.co.uk

Printer will stop feeding paper after printing SELF TEST, Once again press FEED key for 3 seconds. Printer will enter into normal Mode.
Check now.
