Re: Password

I was wondering the same thing when I got my first bluetooth headset. I was pretty freaked out when I was asked for a pairing password to pair up my headset to my phone. The default password is either 0000 or 00000. I am not sure which but try both. Now as far as setting a new password, you can do that from your phone settings. The password is actually for the phone and not the headset. Hope this helps. Good luck.

The generic PIN (Which is what I'm guessing you need) for most bluetooth devices is either 0000, or 1234. Please try those and see if that solves your problem.

The head set is still set to the old phone, hold down the call control button until it starts flashing red/blue. then it will be ready for your new phone to find it. (remember if you didnt change it the password will be "0000"

LG HBM 730 and VX 9400 pairing problem

I found the solution. The original password setting is a combination of zeroes - at least 4. If you did not originally change your password setting for your bluetooth from the original setting - try that. It worked for me.

Also - Thank you for your reply.

Hi To Pair the Phone, while the headset is off, press and hold the Volume button until the headset indicator light shines steadily. Open the folding microphone while the light shines steadily. Set your phone to look for the headset by turning on the bluetoth and starting discovery mode. After your phone finds the device and you accept the pair with the headset enter the password 0000 The headset light should flash several times to indicate the pair. Whala you should be up and running. If you need more help re post or email me This link will take you to a awesome tutorial with pictures if you need it::
