Question about Logitech C120 Webcam

1 Answer

My logitech C120 stops showing image at every reinstall and reboot

My Logitech C120 webcam stops showing image at every reinstall and reboot, I reinstalled many times, cleaned registry, temp folders, updated software and drivers, changed USB ports.. everything I saw on the net. Nothing works. every time I reboot it shows no picture at all, either on Skype or quick capture or any other video/chat program and I have to reinstall the software to make it work, but it will last just up to my next reboot. It worked fine for about 3 months but now this is going on. Please help.

After many attempts I got it to work but the problem now is the camera values like brightness and contrast resets to default mode every time I restart the pc. Any idea what's going on?

SOURCE: No video when using quickcam pro 9000 on google chat (gchat)

I had this problem but I fixed it. The google chat uninstaller does not uninstall everything. Go to the hidden folder Application Data of the default or local user in the Documents and Settings folder of the C drive, you will find the plugin folder for google chat. Delete it and then reinstall the plugin and it will work.
C:\Documents and Settings\Joe\Application Data

How to install logitech C129 web cam?

You should be able to just plug it in and use it. If not, then you should have a CD that came with the webcam with the necessary software. If you do not have the CD, you should be able to find the necessary software on logitech's website, or by google searching the name of your webcam, followed by "driver download"

I have a C120 webcam used with Yahoo Messenger (my PC has XP/AVG) but I cannot show cam-pic AND chat at same time. When cam is 'broadcasting' there is no cursor in 'chat'area and when I click mouse on chat...

I do not think the cam stops broadcasting - it is under the chat page
Make this setting from the 'Webcam' menu on the top frame of your image

Click 'Webcam' select 'Always on top'
As it says the webcam image will now be visible while chatting - you can 'drag and drop' the image to a convenient location by grabbing the top border
