SOURCE: Bosch nexxt 500 series dryer

I have a Siemens dryer and few days ago it stopped heating, but the drum rotates. The problem was because of a safety reset button that went off. On the Siemens (WT dryer series), it is a red button behind the dryer.

Press the red button and it will restart. I might have started a fire, if not for this safety switch.

A similar reset button must have tripped on the Bosch dryer.

FYI: Remember Bosch and Siemens share their technology.

SOURCE: Where do I find the

Have a Nexxt 3300 and believe yours is about the same so yes, several screws to remove from the back. Top also has to come off because two screws to the back are under the top. And for the top to come off the control panel has to be pulled away. Only four screws under four white caps to remove for panel to be loosened. The top is attached with two screws in the back and four nylon clips under the top. The red reset button will be easy to see after removing the back. It is attached to the heating element housing. It is not hard to do, just a pain to get to the reset button. Bosch dryer will not heat

If you have a Tumble Dryer that is not heating up but the drum is turning ok, then the chances are the thermal overload cutout has tripped. Bosch dryers have a reset button but you will have to remove the heater cover panel to access it, you will find it just above the heating element (a black stat with small red button) simply press the red button and if it clicks you've fixed it.
It also may be:
If the dryer doesn't heat, but the drum turns, check the thermal fuse(s). The thermal fuse protects the dryer from overheating and helps to prevent fires. If the thermal fuse is blown, it will have to be replaced

Bosch nexxt 500 elec dryer has no heat to it

There is a switch located on the duct from the heating element. Which you are not able to reset, you have to replace it if it's defective. Do a continuity test on it and if there is no continuity then the switch has to be replaced.

No heat....cleaned filter, vacuum etc....read about a 'reset' buttom, took off back panel, but do no see one......Is there a 'red' reset buttom? thanks

Hello, Welcome to FixYa.

There is indeed a reset or hi-limit as it is sometimes referred to on the element/heater box at the back and it should have a red button in the center you can physically push with Bosch...at least the "nexxt" series.

To start...

**Unplug the dryer before attempting any repair tips suggested here please...safety first**

If you`ve already taken the back of the dryer off to gain access you should have no problem. If you never have, it`ll take some time.

For resetting the hi-limit cut out, you can see through the back vent opening when the vent is removed and then by pushing the red button in...shown below

I have a Bosch nextt 500 series dryer and after 2 years of use the problem I have is the heat will shut off and the dryer will keep running and I have to press the reset button on the backside of the dryer

Open the front panel, remove heat exchanger and clean. also clean out lint tray. this might help a little. Now lets check if the thermal sensor or heating element needs to be replaced.
Unplug the dryer. remove the panel in the back of the dryer that covers the heating element. ( the inner panel). On top of the heating element you will see a thermal sensor with a small red button on it. Thats the manual reset button. To test if the heating element is working properly you can disconnect the wires from the sensor and clip the connectors together . Plug the dryer back in and start it. pay attention to the heating element. It should begin to glow shortly. if it doesn't then your heating element is bad and needs to be replaced.

Unplug the dryer. Connect the wires back to the thermal sensor. Plug the dryer back in. Before you start the dryer, press the red button on the thermal sensor. Start the dryer. If the heating element doesn't come on and dryer doesn't heat, then you need to replace that sensor.

I just had the same problem, motor runs but no heat. I had a fun time figuring out how take the front panel off, hint the rubber seal comes off easily. It looks like mine tripped the resettable over heat sensor. So far so good.
