On your desk to you should have an icon that says life cam or web cam..click on it so you get the web cam going u should see yourself...at the right where the x is to close program there is an arrow that points down click on that it will bring u to what it says a list of things u can do for your web cam. you will see audio and video settings click that then you will see microphone webcam etc. click next it will bring u to a screen with speakers you want to use click play sound then next .you will come to a screen that says microphone select by clicking on the little arrow and pick the one that is the one your using ,the name of your web cam this should get your voice or sound for your web cam hope this helps

I have a new webcam - mikomi DC - 7130 & its installed on my laptop but will not show up on my msn, can anyone PLEASE help?

Test your webcam here to make sure it broadcasts ok - Hit 'Allow' in the top window and check your cam in the left hand panel.

Having proved your cam is working ,you can configure it to WLM (MSN)

CONFIGURE SOFTWARE to MSN
Its good practice to disconnect and re-connect your webcam before you start - if you have been using it elsewhere the MSN software may have difficulty in locating it, even if you exited the previous program correctly.
The reason being, the webcam software can remain hooked-up to a program and needs to be rebooted.
Mine, I just unplug it from the USB and plug it back in to reboot the software.
If yours is integral with the computer you will have to re-start the computer, use a keyboard shortcut or disable / enable the webcam from the Device Manager.

Open MSN
Click 'Open Menu'
From 'Tools; navigate to, and click, 'Audio and Video setup'
Set your speakers
Click 'Test' - if OK, move on.
Set your mic as default
Use the slider to set volume and test.
Click 'Next'
This takes you to the video setup
Your webcam should be broadcasting - (if not - make sure the webcam is set as default - restart MSN)
Use 'Webcam Settings'to fine tune the picture.
Click 'Finish'

I cannot find any place to get drivers for the mikomi webcams. All I could find is a manufacturer's phone number: 08456 403030.

Mikomi Webcams are made by Argos http://www.argos.co.uk

You may just have to contact them for help.

UNPLUG the cam. Uninstall all software and drivers related to it. Reboot. Install software and drivers. Just AFTER instaling software plug the cam back in. I hope that helps you.
