Lens stuck I take my FinePic A330 out of the case, turn it on, the lens zomes out as normal but stops halfway out. I change batteriesd, Still stuck. I've tapped the halway extended lens. It will not move. Any ideas before I must take it for repairs? I just know have a perfectly good camera goes into a camera case, then is removed a month later, and the lens is stuck.

Hi everyone, I had a similar problem. My lens was stuck completely and didn't emerge at all. Out of curiosity about the "smack it" solution, I tried whacking it against my hand a few times. After the first few whacks, nothing; then a couple more and PRESTO, the lens emerged! I was alternately whacking and opening and closing the cover. It now seems to open and close as before. Thanks for the suggestion.

Fuji Tech Support to check out ther situation there. If the camera is more than a year old a repair is probably not an economic option

Lens won't move stuck halfway out

looks like the lens assembly servo mechanism is malfunctioning.
try to push the lens in manually-push down gently until in and power the camera after. If that does not help you will probably need to change the lens assembly (it should be done by a proffessional)

Lens stuck halfway open

Fully charge the battery or connect the camera to the power supply (if you have an ac adaptor).
If it still does not work, it means that the lens is broken.
Reason can be that the camera was in your pocket pr carrying bag and the camera inadvertantly open and the lens mechanism was damaged. In this case, it needs repair.

Nikon L3 lens stuck

Hi:
Lens errors like this usually happen as a result of something damaging the lens in some way.
It could have been against something to prevent the lens from moving out.
It could have been dropped when the lens was out.
If the lens is impacted when the lens is out, damage can occur.
If there is a buzzing, grinding noise as the lens extends, then the probability of damage to the small plastic gears, internal guides or other internal lens parts is high.
What can be done is, as mentioned a few times in my posts, to hold the lens back or pull on it as the camera starts.
This may cause more damage, and may not help at all, but some cases may re-align the internal parts in the lens assembly. This may be worth a try, since the camera is useless unless the lens works right.
Hope I can give some help here on these.

Casio lens stuck

I noticed that the lens was sticking out on center. After pushing it a little, it clicked and then everything worked fine again. I hope that's what happens for your camera, too.
