Question about IBM Infoprint 1422 Laser Printer

1 Answer

1422 Printing fades with use.

Printing fades as more pages are sent through...Temporary fix is to remove the toner, shake and replace it. This works for a bit. Have use different toners, so it isn't just a used toner.

what's the page count on this unit? original fuses? are you toners remanufactors? oem?

The only reason shaking would help, is if there was low toner or a problem with the toner cartridge, so "yes" it is the Cartridge(s) causing the problem.

Printing fades on the page

Does it fade across or down?
Is the printer on a level surface? (important!)
or
Take toner cart out and shake it side to side gently, replace it. Is it any better? (yes indicates low toner)
You may just need a new toner cart or drum

Faded print on right side of page. When I copy/print in black, why is the black print faded on the right side of the paper?

Your toner cartridge may be the culprit.
Take the cartridge out and shake sideways and up/down. Reinstall it and try again.
If it's still printing faded side, replace the cartridge.

Brother hl2142 printing copies out which look faded

The toner could be low.
When the toner cartridge is exhausted or empty then theprinter will not be able to print further documents or the prints will be veryfaint. You may be able to print a few more pages by removing thetoner cartridge and shaking the toner cartridge in a horizontal position a fewtimes and then placing it back into the printer. This will give you an opportunity to print a few more pages and giveyou time to purchase a new toner cartridge for your printer. A cheaperalternative is to purchase a re-manufactured toner cartridge for your modelprinter. A re-manufactured printer cartridge also replaces worn partsas well as refilling with toner powder.

Fade printing?

Sounds like its running out of toner. To verify this is the issue:
Remove the toner from the printer shake the toner away from clothes and carpet. Some toner may be loose and shake off replace back into printer. If it prints a couple of pages good again then it is the toner getting low.

When printing reports off, all the document does not print to the right of the page. whats the answer to fixing this

Hi

Does print is faded or it prints clear? If faded, just get your cartridge and shake it well to distribute evenly the toner. If prints clear, preview it first before printing and maybe the other print area you want is not included when printing. Just set the print area.

Hi,

Just remove all the removable parts from your printer including trays, toners, etc.

Shake your print toners so that the toner powder inside is mixed well equally throughout the drum inside.

Replace all the parts back and try printing and may be this should work fine for you.

Please provide back your ratings.
Thanks

Hi when printing black or grey outside edges

sounds like your black toner cartridge is getting low or not filled evenly. To fix this until it get a bit lower on toner just take the cartridge out and holding it up right give it a few shakes side to side. The will spread the toner power out inside and you should be printing normally again.

This can also happen if you moved or bumped the printer. Usually you only see this when the toner is low or after you print a lot of pages. Most text is in the mid of the paper so thats where the toner get s used the most.

Is the toner orginal?
Try printing a test page and see how that comes out?
Try shaking the toner it might be stuck on one side.
