    well xerox and I have a little problem they attempted to charge me $6500.00 sales tax and I refused to pay it because I am exempt it took them 3 months to fiqure out I did'nt owe it the machine broke and they refused to fix it when they decided I did'nt owe the tax they wanted me to pay service and maintenance fees the three months it was broke I refused been in limbo for 6 months now

I'm not familiar with this particular code but if you call the Xeox number below or click on the website below I believe they can help you best! They do list a Xerox DC252 OSG Printer/copier @ the website!

By power cycle they just mean either turn the machine off and on or unplug from power then plug back in.

    I could not find the code on Xerox.com are you sure your information is correct. If so the only other solution would be to call xerox support.

    I apologize as this seems to be an anomaly although the first part of your code refers to power and user interface.

    Sorry I could not be of more assistance
    Please let me know if we can be of any further assistance. If you would like I can call xerox for you and ask them about the code but I would prefer to have your serial number off your machine before doing this.

    If this fault is declared 3 times in succession, the print mode will be
    disabled. In order to clear this condition, reset NVM location 741-105
    to 0.


    • Check the opening/closing of the Front Cover.

    • Turn the power OFF then ON

    I take it that you are printing with the bustled EFI controller ??
    If so check the Xerox website and load the composite patches.
    Or at least the 1-S4225
    Otherwise you have ESS NVM corruption - a software reload with the latest version will sort it out..

    you have ESS NVM corruption = An error in the memory board of the system. you will not be able to get past this without a software update from xerox

There is a hole punch home position sensor not detecting the 2 or 3 hole punch.
Try reseating the hole punch assembly then power the machine off and on.

    You need to remove and replace the staple waste container in the finisher .

    The fault code indicates that staple waste container near full .

    If your problem still continues you need to contact service person to check for any hardware fault in the machine .

When the Hole Punch Waste Container is emptied, make sure that all paper scraps are discarded; otherwise, the machine may malfunction.
Make sure that the machine has stopped copying / printing, and then open the Finisher Front Cover.

Its the problem with the fuser unit.so it does not initialize and as soon as u start the machine it will try to boot and show you the error.to solve this problem just replace fuser unit.the printer other parts are perfectly fine.replacing fuser will definately solve the problem

Stapler Feed Ready Fault  let the job run(2-pg.; 3-copy,; 2-Staple-Long) and on the third set prior to stapling  squeeze the staple cartridge tabs to disengage the cartridge. The un stapled set will go to the finisher tray
½ Run job again after placing cartridge back in its position ½ And job will run OK

Empty the punch hole waste paper container and also check the stapler pins container ans also check for any paper jam in the trays..

If you are printing from an Adobe product make sure you are printing as image and let the printer manage the colors. Also, try calibrating and updating the machine through Command Workstation which can be downloaded for free from www.Efi.com. Download the updates by going to the Fiery web interface by typing the ip address of the copier in the web browser and going to the configure tab and clicking on check for updates. Make sure you install them in order and reboot the machine in-between updates. ALSO, you can import the file directly into the fiery by using command workstation avoiding any driver complications.

I have the same problem. If you find out anything let me know. I had recently replaced my front door sensor as well. Does the motor on the tray try to go up a little? I had a tech out the other day and he said it might be the MCU PWB, but the printer only had 150K on it and it seems unlikely that that would go out.

  • 9-363 is Rotary home position (rotory controler board fuse) first remove the right side cover to see devloper units top side sensor clean or replace and chek all fuses on back side pwr board.

Docucolor 252 fault code 047-310 How do you fix this?


This error code indicates that the Xerox is not communicating with the finisher. The recommended method to resolve this is to power off the Xerox, wait 3 minutes after power is off, unplug the machine from the wall, wait 1 more minute and plug in and restart. If that does not help, it will require a call to the service number: 800-821-2797
