SOURCE: Cooker Hood problem

check the printed circuit board behind the switches - maybe when bulb blew it took out some of the track. usually repairable by soldering in a link over the damaged track. have you checked the fuse as well?

Hi shealy,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: This hood worked fine until a light bulb blew out. Put in a new light bulb, but the lights will not turn off. Is the light switch bad or is there a problem with the control panel? The fan still works fine but the lights will not turn off or adjust dim or bright.

You're on the right track. The light control switch needs replacing. You might try utilizing the Repair Directory to find a repairman. If you have the tools and ability just remember to turn off the electric first.

SOURCE: kenmore elite ranghood (series# 550) not working

unplug the unit and unscrew the bulbs. put 2 new in if they still dont work then you may have fried the control. there are usually no fuses between the control and light/fan. well i never saw a fuse between the 2.

What is wrong with electrolux cooker hood when ive changed new bulbs, the extract works but lights don't.Did make a bang when old ones blew?

Good Afternoon friend, thanks for your post!
From what you have described your Electrolux hood is working properly but the lights are not coming on. I understand that you heard a bang when the old ones went out it could be possible that your receptacle is bad or wire has shorted. I would suggest having a technician out to properly diagnosis your hood. They have the appropriate tools and knowledge needed to pinpoint the reason your lights are not working properly. Good luck. -Matt

Debeta60 delonghi lights blew. I replaced both bulbs and they still don't work. How can I fix this?

Sounds like your ground is probably caked in grease.. Kill the breaker and trace the wires back until you find the one that's screwed into some metal. Take it off, clean it and try again

Bulb blew on cooker hood and I replaced both. Light still won't work and neither will fan - both working fine until bulb blew.

hello. I can assist you. begin by going to the electrical panel for your home. You will be looking for the circuit breaker or fuse that controls this hood. Chances are the actual problem is that the fuse blew, or the circuit breaker kicked off. To reset, replace the fuse with a new one of the same amperage, or turn the breaker on and then off and then back on again.

Engine fan runs fine. When AC is turned on it blows 30amp fuse under hood for the engine fan. Cant figure out whats going on, i've traced the wires for the fan as well as the AC and could not find...

I had the same problem today with my sunfire 96 2.2L and it was the radiator fan that was draining too much amperes and the fuse blew up 3 seconds or less after the fan was turning.... i just change the radiator fan motor and the fan and the fuse are ok!!!!
