Question about Jenn-Air 30 in. CCE3401 Electric Cooktop
Light on our jenn-Air ceramic surface stove won't go off when stove is off, and the burner dosn't get hot either, but the knob light is on at all times as if that burner is on, but not hot.
The switch under that knob is bad. It's called an infinite switch. As far as the elements go, first thing to check is for proper voltage (220) to the cooktop. Let me know what you find.

I had the same problem. Went to an appliance store that carries Jenn Air. Replaced both plug in units. Now they work perfectly and it cost less than $350 total! Good Luck!

1) turn off power at the breaker. 2) remove hold down screws 3) pop up cooktop out of counter top 4) remove knobs and downdraft grille 5) remove ceramic top (screws around outside and also in side grille opening) 6) unplug burners replace with new burner
