Dryer won't stay running without holding down the start button

It may be the centrifugal switch on the motor. The push button starts the motor and as the motor spins up to speed the centrifugal switch closes to keep the motor running. Hope this helps.

My start button on my gas dryer

That is VERY DANGEROUS.............I would NOT recommend doing that under any circumstances.........it could be a safety device that is keeping the start button from working in order to keep it from shorting out.............

also, it could be the start button itself but, it is not worth the chance that it could catch fire.

Unlock ipod touch

just plug it into your computer and sync it up with itunes. once it's done, unplug your ipod and it will be unlocked.

if you haven't installed itunes yet/synced it to any computer then you will have to do a full restore in order to get it back to working order. which means losing any information, pictures, videos, songs, etc on it. it will revert it back to factory setting and have only the apps it had when it was first taken out of the box.

2 i've found that you can accomplish this:

- Start by plugging the iPod touch into a computer then hold down the power button for about 5 seconds until you see the red slider button to power it off, slide to power off the iPod touch. Then press and hold both the power button and the home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release the power button but keep holding in the home button. Hold the home button in until you see the iTunes logo on the iPod touch, then let go of it. You can then restore your iPod using any computer but keep in mind that you will lose everything.

- Make sure your iPod Touch is completely turned off and unconnected from your computer. Hold down the Home button, and connect it to your USB cable. It will automatically turn on when you connect the cable. Just keep holding the Home button until the Connect to iTunes logo appears.

Press start button and dryshuts off when start button is released

There is a switch assembly on the motor that activates when the motor is running. Centrifugal switch. It keeps it running when you release the switch. That is where to start. Eric

Kenmore 73954 : Only runs when the START button is continuously pressed

The start button starts the motor heater and energizes a relay that latches closed to keep the motor and heater running untill the timer switch or door switch cut the power to the relay and the relay opens.
The latching relay has failed or disconnected
if all the cables are attached to the relay
replace relay
not an expensive item, usualoly good for 10years
dryer circuits look like this, the start switch and relay are drawn just to the right of the motor, this diagram has no relevance to the physical position of the parts

It won't start now!

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted. http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool. - Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds) - Slide the hold switch into "hold" position. - Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer. Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted. Best of Luck.
