Question about Fujitsu ScanPartner fi-4120C2 Path-Through Scanner
Hello, have recently changed this scanner over from home pc to my laptop. All the drivers etc have been loaded and yet when I try to scan in Adobe its showing the device status as ''none''. The scanner is not listed in my scanner folder either. I have taken my laptop into work recently and used the same model scanner at work, literally plugged it into my laptop and it worked just fine. Have changed the USB lead on my one at home, reloaded the drivers umpteen times - does it sound like my HOME scanner is broken? Thank you for your help! I am using windows xp
There are two generally components for a scanner to work, One the Hardware Driver, which connects to the Comp and Two, a program to scan using the hardware connected. Sometimes, both may be available in the same program. For example, after installing the Device Driver, you can use any scanning program, to scan. Hence please check if you have loaded the Device Driver. You may be just using the scanning software, whcih is not able to detect the device!
