Question about Brother HL 2140 Laser Printer
MY BROTHER 21400 IS A RELATIVELY NEW PRINTER (PURCHASED IN NOV. 2008). AS I WAS PRINTING A SIGN CAME UP ASKING ME TO CLEAN THE CORONA WIRE GIVING DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO DO IT. IT HAS BEEN DONE SEVERAL TIMES YET THE MESSAGE WON'T GO AWAY AND THE PRINTER WON'T PRINT.
SUCH MESSAGES SEEM VERY UNDERHANDED, PLEASE HELP ME MAKE IT GO AWAY. I PURCHASED THE PRINTER TO BE ABLE TO USE IT NOT TO LET IT SIT THERE WITH THESE ERROR MESSAGES.

I am waiting for a firmware update to fix this issue. The only solution is repeatedly removing the drum/toner, moving the green cleaner back and forth, putting it all back together loosely, putting it in the printer loosely, and closing the door gently. Hold down the blue button until all the lights glow, then release. If you're lucky you only have to repeat this process a dozen times until you trick the sensor into not giving false readings.

Remove the cartige. Separate the dram and toner unit. In drum unit there is corona wire just clean it.
