Jensen VM9412 Video BYpass

If any one can help???? I set a toggle switch on the brake to create the bypass. after using 4 times it stopped working. Then I found out about the secret codes, but all the codes ive tried have not worked. Does anyone have this unit or have the correct code for the VM9412.

If you set up the toggle switch follow this very closely. 1 make sure switch is off before starting the head unit into video. if you do it to many times you have to remove power and start over. next once the blue screen comes on flip the switch on for 3 seconds then off then back on and youll be GTG. it has been working great other than remembering to shut it off before playing video from my zune. BUT if anyone has a code please. My wife doesnt always remember and I really dont feel like popping the fuse that much.

Bypassing the ebrake-grounding doesn't work on Alpine-iXA-W404

Found the solution

Either get a pair of toggle switches to simulate the Foot Brake and Parking Brake OR get a product (from PAC) that simulates it for you.

What would be the best way to bypass the E-Brake on a Jensen VM92

If you have the old firmware then all you need to do is ground the parking brake wire
OR
if you have the new firmware(just bought the system) a toggle switch is involved:
1 - connect e-brake wire from dvd unit to the switch
2 - connect a ground wire from switch to the unit chassis(any good metal grounding surface will do)
3 - pop in a dvd, toggle the switch back and forth 2 or 3 times depending on what wire you placed where...and voilaa!! your dvd system should work in motion!!

DUAL XDVD9101 PARKING BRAKE BYPASS

STEP ONE. Ground the E-Brake wire.
No matter which method you use, you must ground the brake detection wire. I suggest you tap it into the ground wire on your wiring harness (ensures a good ground).

FACTORY RESET METHOD (not permanent)

1 Go to the Menu
2 Get to the Settings Menu
3 Select <yes> to Reset to Factory Settings.

Have recently heard complaints of this method not being permanent, as this is needed whenever they want to watch a DVD. Also, radio and screen angle presets are lost.

METHOD 2
AUDIO CD METHOD (Permanent)
1 Insert Audio CD
2 Press PLAY
3 Press STOP twice on remote
4 Enter 26604 on remote
5 Press ENTER
6 Take out Audio CD and Insert a DVD
----------------
METHOD 3
DVD METHOD (Permanent)
** Insert a DVD
** Let it play until you hear sound
** Press STOP twice on remote
** Enter 26604
** Press ENTER

The blue warning screen should immediately go away after pressing the last digit of "26604." Still press ENTER as a precaution.

The 3rd method seems to work with most of the duals

Wont play dvd jensen vm9311

You can bypass all that. Here's how:

This will work without having to do anything to the pink wire - just tape it and leave it alone. But the next time you unhook your battery cable you will have to put the code in again.

Put in DVD
When the blue screen comes up, hit STOP twice on the remote
punch in 1,2,6, and 4
hit DOWN 1 time
hit PLAY/ENTER (although you can't see it, this turns off the parking brake bypass security feature)

**at this point the display became visible and you will now see the menu which makes it much easier.
hit DOWN one more time to change macrovision
hit PLAY/ENTER
hit SYS SETUP twice to save and exit menu

From now on, you can just put in a movie and it'll start - no more grounding or toggle switch procedure, and you don't have to use the e-brake.

Jensen VM9412 Video BYpass

You can try the procedure for the VM9311TS model (the one I have) - I don't know if it'll work but it's worth trying. Put in a DVD, and let it start playing. Then hit STOP on the remote twice, and enter the code 1264. If you were able to see the actual movie at this point, you'd see a menu pop up. Push down twice, then ENTER. At this point the blue screen should clear and you should see the movie itself. You'll have other options on that menu, like a macrovision option to allow you to see burned DVDs. Set what you like, then on the remote, hit SYS SETUP twice to lock in your choices.
