Machine will not boot. Sdreen message "no input signal"

This is a new machine used less than 20 hours. then idle for 63 days gue to ill health.. Now the machine will not boot. I suspect failing to activate Vista may be the trouble. I have tried re-installing, without success. Have you come across this before and how do I fix it?

When you say the machine will not boot, do you mean that you do not even get the startup splash screen during the post? And when you say you tried reinstalling, Did you get the Vista DVD to boot? If the Vista DVD would not boot the system, then activation is not the problem. Your system should give you at least a single beep during startup. If you aren't getting this far, then your problem could be either the motherboard or the power supply.

EMachine T6522 monitor says "no signal input" when turned on. tower switch light on and motor seems to be running. Nothing but above message on monitor. Checked both ends of cable and unplugged tower and...

This could be an issue of a video card gone bad. I have experienced the same issue firsthand. This could also mean that no RAM is installed. If you have been using this computer previously, the second option is probably not even an option.

If you have another computer available, please try plugging the monitor in to that machine to test. If it works, your Video Card is more than likely toast.

But not to worry, you should be able to find a new card for that machine. I believe it will be a PCI Video Card, which may run you anywhere from $20-$100 depending on what you purchase. Please consult with eMachines before ordering a new card. Some will not work with your machine.

I hope this helps you out. Have a great day and please don't hesitate to ask any further questions regarding this issue.

New Janome 6600 Erroring out

Hi,
This is the official Janome reference to your E% error message:
Feed sensor error "E 5" appears when the machine is turned backwords slightly while the machine runs over tight spot. The above will happen when - the machine is locked by thread jammed in the machine. - sewing extreamly thick fabric. In case of the MC4900, it will happen when running without threading the thread take up lever. The thread take up lever should be threaded when the threading light lights up.

How to set time on the southwestern bell answer machine FA982B

I went to the southwesten bell freedom phone site on the web. Found answering machines.  My old machine was not listed, so I found instructions for a later machine.
The method for setting time was similar.  I tried it and it worked fine.
Your high prices prompted me to be less lazy.

I have a minidisc model mds e10

Hi,

it seems your MD unit is expecting a digital signal on the digital input causing this message to appear.
You need to connect a signal source to the digital input

or

connect an analog signal to an analog input and select the analog input as signal source.

In both cases the DIN UNLOCK message will then disappear.

Cheers

Error message on Brother SE-270D

I had the same issue a few years back but with actual symptoms of malfunctioning. I had mine fixed under warranty. The service tech told me it was a faulty circuit board. Works perfect now. I think the warranty is only for the first year to cover labor and parts. Not sure how much it would be out-of-pocket. This happened within 3 months of a brand new purchase. Hope this answered your question.
